Maria's Rooms & Studios — Hotel in Municipality of Naxos and the Lesser Cyclades

We stayed at Maria's Rooms for 2 weeks 4-18 August. Very good price for excellent quality. The building is very quiet, which is very important. Rooms on floor 1 and 2 all have a fantastic view on the sea. The beach of Agia Anna is just across the road. The bus stop to Chora is just up the road 2 minutes walk. The room we stayed in was superclean. It had air conditioning, new and not noisy, but we hardly ever used it because it was enough to leave the windows oper and the air circulated in the room. It had a lovely terrace where we had dinner feeling like queens. WI-FI worked perfectly. TV had some English and Italian channels, and Greek ones. The matress was very confortable. The sheets made of pure cotton, white. The bathroom was with a window and very clean and functional and we were given new, immaculate towels. The kitchenette had all the essential that needed to prepare a good meal, new appliances (also a brand new hairdryer) with new Ikea plates and crockery. George and Barbara are kind, discreet and ready to meet all requests. They clean the rooms throughly every day. And around the house there is a very well maintained garden. They are building a swimming pool at the moment. We will come back next year, miss you so much!...

The owner of the building is very friendly and helpful with any request. The studio is quiet, clean and equipped with basic amenities (fridge, 2 cooking plates, pans and pots, coffee machine and coffee-making pots, cutlery). Every other day the towels and bed sheets were exchanged, basic housekeeping was done every day! Also, the room has a hair dryer, iron, TV and A/C. The pool has a decent size, the hotel complex is very well kept and tidy too. The owner spares no effort to make it a cozy, welcoming place. Upon arrival I found some juice and water in the fridge, very thoughtful and highly appreciated.

The building is very well located, with the beach, bus stop, a tavern and small market less than a 5-mins walk away. There are many more restaurants, bars and tavernas within 5-15mins of walking.

Every day we asked the owner to take care of the bugs and he said he would spray outside our room, we asked about inside the room spraying. He said put all the food even unopened crackers in the fridge. Still every day bugs and he was not using a proper spray or getting a professional exterminator. After numerous days told us we could leave if not happy. I said to him you can not rent bug infested rooms where the bugs go into peoples things. They were everywhere and we had to empty our luggage and check everything to get rid of...
