So what I don't like is they didn't mentioned the price for the fresh fish per kilogram. We ask for one fish for two and the smallest fish was around 1,200 which is very big for two but ok, no choice. The fish was 75€ a bit pricey. But ok at least was very nicely done and very tasty so it worth the money. But then when we left 5€ tips the waiters were laughing and making fun of us about the small tips. That pointing at our table and laughing with saying 5 evro it was so miserable. I wanted to go and get those 5 evro back. I am tipping much more when I think I should, in this case if I wasn't ripped off for the fish I would have give more tips, so sorry. And after that happened, we couldn't even finish our wine properly because it looked like they wanted for us to leave, it was not busy at all, but the moved everything from our table, the bottle still with water, the ashtray that I still needed, and then making circles around our table and staring when they can finally collect and the wine glasses, so we didn't even finish the wine and left. We enjoyed the food and the sunset, but we can also enjoy the same somewhere else, here...
Read moreWe stumbled upon this beachside taverna after walking along Plaka beach. It rates just about average. The long menu tells you that not everything is cooked to order. Our starter - taramasalata - was good enough, with fresh bread (and copious quantities of olive oil). Our choice of mains was not great. The Kleftiko €17 was not great; plenty of potato and peppers, but light on quality lamb. Octopus on the Grill €19 was not fresh but hard and chewy, so I cannot recommend it. Wine was not great either. There's a very limited selection. Our €7 white wine (500 ml) was drinkable but not of any quality. The staff seemed more interested in taking orders of new customers, rather than looking after existing diners. Total bill for 2 people was €65. Service is not included and tips are not expected. Not a restaurant I would...
Read moreAfter a week of traditional greek food we went for a burger and a pizza. Apparently, a burger the Manolis way is made up of decent meat, half a lime as well as wet fries that have an apperance of being not very home made. Not even ketchup was offered, so first aid was sadly not possible for this dish. 9 euros in the bin. The crust on my girlfriend's pizza reminded us alot of dr oetker frozen pizza. 9 euros in the bin again. Sad. But hey, the view is a beautie and they brought the check really fast, so if this is all you are looking for this might be the place for you. And who knows, perhaps the traditional greek dishes are great. But that you can find at any other...
