Naxian spirit — Hotel in Municipality of Naxos and the Lesser Cyclades

The price is high above what the place can offer. We stayed for 7 nights in the middle of August. The room was quite small (nothing compared to the pictures on the site) and the quality of the materials is very poor. Especially the mattress and the pillows are the cheapest products you can find in the market. We could not sleep well. The amazing thing is that there is never a reception in the building. Not a safe environment at all. Anyone can walk in. The doors are paper thin without sound insulation whatsoever. We stayed on the ground floor. Next to us there were 2 families with kids knocking on the doors, playing football and shouting from 8am till late at night. We complaint many times to the owners and their only answer was that there is nothing they can do... (???). We never got refunded for this awful experience but instead we were given attitude. Spiders everywhere and the AC is a wall unit in the living room and doesn't work to cool the rooms, so it was so hot we barely slept. It smells sooooooo bad!!! Terrible, horrible smell. Like mold and mildew. It was filthy! So dirty and disgusting, we did not want to touch anything. There is mold and mildew everywhere, and wifi is non-existent. The wifi did not work for more than 30 seconds, had to keep reconnecting, and still would disconnect. Absolutely NO amenities, no help. You text, and they don't respond. You can message and it will take forever to get a response. You have to call every time, and since there is no WIFI, you're paying for each call you make too. It's absolutely horrible. The beds were like sleeping on the floor. Thank goodness we stayed less than 24 hours. Otherwise, I would not ever stay here. The location is very good. This place looked brand new and very presentable. When actually it is non functional. We got a family apartment 2 bedrooms which was advertised with ac, however when we arrived, there was only 1 ac for the whole unit, non in the bedrooms. Bathroom was new but no where to put your shampoo when you shower. One mirror in the entire apartment. Worst of all, we had 5 in our family with 4 beds, and we were only provided 2 sheets to sleep with. Yes 2. When we mentioned it to the housekeeping, she argued and said that there were sheets despite us asking her to show them to us, they were no where to be found. Our room did not have a hair dryer and when we asked for one, the owner opened the door of an occupied room of a current guest who wasn't in his room to let her use it in that person's room.
