I had a stay in Naxos Green Village hotel and had a disgusting experience there. I wrote my review on multiple platforms (Booking.com, trip advisor and Google) and hotel reached out to threaten me to delete it with a lawyer and proof.
PRO'S The pool area itself looked nicely designed; however, because of the serious hygiene issues we encountered in the room, we did not feel comfortable using the pool. We simply could not trust its cleanliness given the overall lack of care we experienced.
CONS Moth Infestation in the Bathroom: The bathroom had been completely overrun with a moth infestation. There were roughly 15 insects scattered across the floor — clustered near the trash bins and beside the toilet. Out of the most basic sense of cleanliness and respect for guests, this should have been thoroughly cleaned before anyone’s arrival. Instead, I was met with a shocking and deeply disappointing level of negligence. To make matters worse, I personally had to resort to using bleach in order to remove the moths and clean the bathroom myself. Is that the standard expected of a guest upon check-in? Absolutely not. Such conditions reflect an unacceptable lack of care and responsibility. Ant Infestation in the Bedroom: The bedroom itself was no refuge. There was a full-scale ant infestation directly in the bed and around the room. We were bitten multiple times and spent the night trying to kill ants instead of resting. This is more than an inconvenience — it is a health and safety concern. Guests should never have to endure such unsanitary and uncomfortable conditions, particularly in a space where they are expected to sleep. We searched ages for an open pharmacy at night to ask what should be done for an ant bites.
Funny one: we requested a through cleaning before the arrival. Attaching my booking message to the hotel.
Unhygienic Bathroom on the Ground Floor: In addition, the bathroom on the ground floor presented yet another glaring issue: a large, visible hairball left next to the door. It was disgusting, impossible to overlook, and a clear indication that the area had not been cleaned properly prior to our stay. For any guest, this is disturbing to encounter, and it reflects a complete disregard for even the most basic standards of hygiene. I used bleach to clean the bathroom and the bathroom small window had the full moth nest - put bleach there.
