Emery Hotel was one of our last stays on our 5 week European trip, and we must say, it was one of the best, if not THE best! We arrived early and were welcomed with open arms. Host, Adriana immediately sat us down and ensured we were comfortable. We had the facilities explained as well as recommendations for eateries and activities around the beautiful island of Naxos. Our amazing room was upstairs and cases were delivered for us. We had a spacious, exceptionally clean suite, in a modern, Greek style, including a wonderful jacuzzi, which we took advantage of! The bed was very comfortable! Breakfast was served in the main reception area in another building and was personalised, following your selection left the evening before. It was fresh, delicious and hand made on the spot. Staff were so friendly and hospitable and nothing was too difficult or complex for them. Even tours, trips, hire of cars and bikes, could all be arranged by this boutique hotel’s manager, Adriana. Whilst elsewhere in Greece we have experienced delays, every single thing we arranged through the Emery Hotel was perfectly timely, exactly what was requested and great value for money. Location was perfect on the old town hill….great combination of being close enough to the main foreshore strip, but far enough to be quiet, with nice views. Local shops were 40m away including an excellent bakery and supermarket. Shops in this part of Naxos were considerably cheaper than 10 minute walk away on the foreshore, making this ideal for purchasing souvenirs and food/drinks. The beautiful Orthodox blue and white Church was about an 8 minute relaxed walk. We were delighted to also experience a Greek cooking class at Platia 1908 in Galini which Adriana organised for us - highly recommended as a fabulous experience! Don’t miss that! We would definitely stay at the Emery Hotel again if we returned to Naxos and highly recommended it to others. From our perspective both the Hotel and Naxos itself are way superior to anything on Santorini, for example, being better value for money, with a more relaxed genuine experience of a wonderful Greek Island. Highly...

Situated 50 meters from shops, chemist, bakery, coffee, supermarket and a short stroll to the town, the Emery Hotel has the perfect position. Nestled inside its own little plaza, you go from action to complete silence in minutes.
The most impressive part of the hotel is its rooms. We stayed in building number 2, which is the second newest building (they now have a 3rd). To me it ticked all the boxes and was close to perfection. Super comfortable bed (and I am very fussy). A shower that can fit 4 people inside with both a handheld and rain shower head. A quality air conditioning unit meant that not only could you control the temperature accurately at night when it was steaming hot in summer, but it is was ultra-quiet whilst you slept. Speaking of quiet, once you closed the doors and windows, you could not hear a thing at night.
I also like darkness when I am sleeping and that was also accommodated with black out curtains.
Little things like a decent size bar fridge that could store more than just two bottles of water. Shower and hand gels. Hair dryer. Power points everywhere with great mood lighting. Double wash basin. Separate toilet. And a great little veranda to enjoy your breakfast or afternoon drink.
Next comes the service. Nothing is ever a problem. The entire team from this family owned business is there to help in any way possible. The rooms are cleaned every single day and new towels and any accessories are topped up.
With no dedicated breakfast area, breakfast is served in your room from a selection of items you tick on a list the night before. Breakfast was brilliant for this class of hotel and way above what was expected.
Overall, I found that the lack of extra facilities like foyers, pools, gym etc, where made up 10 fold in the quality of the room.
If you value luxury and service and don’t care too much about the extra facilities, this hotel is one of the best on the island for the price they are charging. Highly...
Read moreReally nice, quaint place. It's close enough to town that everything is very accessible walking, but far enough that you don't get the noise or tourists. It's family-run, and the person who helped me was incredibly kind and sweet. The bed is comfortable, the rooms are pretty spacious, and they have a hairdryer, which was great. They don't have any toiletries aside from a big tub thing in the shower which could be soap or shampoo, but I didn't try it so I don't know. The fan in the room is great, as the AC isn't very strong. I had it on the lowest but was still relatively hot at night. There are only two things I'll point out, and both are kind of related. There is elevator, so you'll need to take the stairs with your suitcase (they have someone able to help). Also - do not try to walk from the ferry if you have more than a light suitcase or backpack. Trust me!!! It's fully an uphill journey. I made that mistake of walkong and paid miserably. Stairs everywhere, the unleveled pavement where wheels get stuck, and it's far enough that your muscles will feel it for days if you drag your suitcase. The way back down is much easier but the pavement and lack of sidewalk is still a bit problematic.
Either way - stay here!! Great...
