Awful service they gave away our reservation after 20 min of delay, after a huge traffic issue due to an accident in the center of the city, the manager of the restaurant denied to us getting on a waiting list for the next available cancellation because all the rest of reservations wouldn’t be canceled ( I suppose the manager has also medium skills brought to the table and can facilitate the future of the upcoming reservations of the night). As a Greek traveler to the island of Naxos I wouldn’t recommend this restaurant to anyone.
We made a second reservation at the same restaurant 2 days later, because we wanted to give another chance due to the reputation of the restaurant, our group of friends arrived 10 minutes earlier than our reservation. And the manager confronted us not only with a rude tone but also with an angry tone saying that because I gave a low star review on their restaurant me and my friends are not welcome there and that they never actually made the reservation. Denying the entrance to a customer is not only rude but also against the legislation, I feel really sad and ashamed as a local that this restaurant operates in this way and they still employee a manager with this mindset (bullying and...
Read moreUnfriendly from the start. The hostess greeted us with all the warmth of a closed door, clearly unenthusiastic about the fact we had a dog with us. Her unhelpful attitude set the tone, and it honestly felt like we weren’t welcome. The food was uneven: the fava and mushrooms were ok and my girlfriend’s beef with aubergine was good, but my lamb kleftiko was awful — hardly any lamb, flavorless, and just swimming in soft mushy vegetables and melted cheese and a poor excuse for a dish that’s meant to be rich and slow-cooked. For these mixed results, the bill was shockingly high. To top it off, we were left waiting an extremely long time just to get the bill, making the disappointing experience drag on even further. Overall, it felt like a tourist trap trading on location rather than quality or hospitality. Not worth the price, and certainly not worth the cold shoulder. The only highlight was the young tall waiter who seemed to be singlehandedly serving the...
Read moreBeautiful place, delicious food, and nice people. We had a late light dinner on a rooftop overlooking the adjacent square - and some of other houses all the way to the island of Paros - and it felt really magical. There was also a small group of young people on the square playing on traditional Greek instruments and singing folklore songs which added up to a romantic atmosphere. Most of the guests in the restaurant were Greek, which we appreciated. The food looked beautiful and was delicious. Homemade bread with olives dipped in some kind of anise and lemon sauce was simple, yet excellent start. Then we had chickpeas with cheese and green salad with chicken respectively. I especially appreciated the salad's sweet dressing including oranges. We also had a glass of raki and - to my question - the waiter explained to us its entire production process. The service was fast and efficient. This place is highly...
