House of Dimitra — Hotel in Municipality of Paxos

House of Dimitra is on the upper slopes above Gaios, only 5 minutes from the port by car. The acces way is a bit tricky first time reaching the address, but the owners are really nice and helpful.

The property has a confortable parking court beneath old olive trees and a lovely garden with trees and flowers.

It is surrounded by other properties and it is usually very quiet. In the morning we could hear the birds chirping and in the evening - the wind dancing above the trees.

The patio is so large, with plenty of room to enjoy an outside meal. There is also a barbecue that can be fired in agreement with the hosts, because you always have to be careful about fires on the island.

The house has 5 rooms: the floor level has 2 rooms with ensuite bathroom and 1 room with acces to the hallway bathroom; upstairs there are 2 rooms with balconies that share a bathroom.

All the rooms look alike: they are spacious, have dressers and a little vanity, also a fridge. We had towels (changed every day), a dryer, bottles of water, blankets and extra-blankets.

The 2 balconies are wonderful, because the house is high up and we could see both the west and east shore of the sea.

The house is kept very clean - so clean we were ashamed to make a mess. Our lady owner came every day and made the place spotless, while we were enjoying all the beach fun.

The kitcken is very well equiped and the owners are happy to assist you with anything you need. The livingroom was also lovely and has us hooked to the TV on a rainy evening.

We felt at home at lady Dimitra and could not recommend it more ...

PS: she is also a masterful artist and she is the author of all the beautiful paintings throughout...

I've stayed at House of Dimitra one week in this September and it was a great experience.

From the ferry and Gaios it is a couple of minutes drive from the ferry (2-2.5 kilometers) and it is very quiet there. The hosts are very friendly and accommodatig.

The house has a big living room, a kitchen with everything you need to cook the perfect meal and on top of that you have outside a beautiful stone grill.

The rooms are cozy and very clean and the cherry on the top is the spacious roofed terrace where we stayed until late in the night, eating, drinking and socializing.
