The entire booking process was made very easy. Questions were answered promptly, and staff were very accommodating. Even when booking.com messed up, the hotel staff were responsive and accommodating.
The hotel is 9 minutes drive from the port and 38 minutes drive or 1 hour train from Athens Airport.
Upon entry, you're greeted with refreshing aircon and a seating and non-smoking bar area to the left. On the right is the reception area. We were greeted by Lia, and it was nice to put a face to the name of my messages. Information was checked, and the room key was received. We were extremely grateful that our room was ready as we arrived earlier than the usual check-in time. This was a bonus as we were extremely tired.
We were most impressed with the level of hygiene at this hotel. Everything was absolutely spotless. The toilet had a seal on it, stating it had been sanitised. The towels were in a sealed bag. The room was modern and had a mini refrigerator, along with a range of complimentary hot drinks. We even had a balcony to relax on.
Breakfast is on the 1st floor and costs €10pp. Cute space.
There is an elevator, but the stairs are good too. There is also a 'left luggage' storage space for after check out or before check-in. This came in useful as we were able to use our time to explore more before our late flight.
Staff were knowledgeable and provided recommendations on restaurants and tours. Thanks, Christina. Apologies to the male staff as there were no name tags, and I forgot to get your names. Customer service was consistent and of high standard by all we interacted with.
Out of the 3 hotels we've stayed on this trip, this was by far the best budget hotel. We would happily take and...

She was taken by ambulance to the Corfu general hospital and later flown by air ambulance to Athens mainland Greece for further treatment. |My medical insurance subsequently flew me to Athens and was booked to stay at Port Tower Hotel.|This is a new, modern, comfortable hotel over several floors with lifts . It has a transient clientele as it’s used by those joining or disembarking from cruise ships in Piraeus. |The hotel serves a buffet style breakfast only and has a gym but no pool.|All staff we met spoke very good English.|My main praise is for the hotel manager Mr David Stefanidis and his team who were aware of our predicament. David was especially helpful organising transportation for myself to/from the clinic where my wife was a patient to extending my stay for a long as required. Even moving our belongings to a superior room for us.|On one occasion I needed a taxi to/from my wife’s clinic but taxi drivers were on strike that day. Again David to the rescue booking a private cab whose driver was a personal friend.|From a hotel perspective 4. From a personal perspective 10 for David and Team.|David and team went beyond that which you’d normally expect and my wife and I will be forever grateful to all at this hotel in making my/our stay as stress free...
Read moreRegrettably only 2 stars for this two star hotel. The main reason is due to the curt, unwelcoming and unpleasant manner of the staff (with one exception being the male receptionist on the morning we checked out). Both the male receptionist on duty when we arrived and the female receptionist we encountered have no idea about how to offer good, warm, customer service. No charm whatsoever. Don’t expect a smile! The lady supervising the breakfast room one morning was equally rude. Breakfast cost €10 and was plentiful (but hot food was all cold!). The bedrooms and bathrooms are very small but clean and with most amenities one needs. There were no batteries in the safety deposit box so it could not be used! The tv control also had to have its batteries replaced as it was not working. Obviously nobody checks these things. The mattresses on the twin beds were uncomfortable. Water leaked from under the shower cubicle tray. Usual inconsiderate door slamming from some guests. Not a very pleasant neighbourhood but handy for the...
