I spent a week in this small and peaceful hotel in early June 2013. The hotel has two buildings, an older and a newer one. Me and my husband stayed at the older one, my parents stayed in the newer and nicer one (which was closer to the 3 star rating that the hotel has).||||Me and my husband had a single room with two separate beds and a sea view. We pulled the beds together :) The sea view was really wonderful, but I must say I was quite dissapointed with the room, because the trip cost 600 euros / person and for that price I would've expected a little more, even if it's "only" a 3 star hotel. I've been in a 4,5 star hotel for that price :D||||Anyway, the bath towels and the bed linen were very worn, with holes even. The towels were also as small as ever, and the blankets had long hair in them. The tiny bathroom's air conditioning was really old and loud (or maybe it was broken?). The shower didn't have any curtains or walls so the whole bathroom was obviously all wet after taking a shower, but there was a small spatula to wipe the floor with, hidden behind the toilet seat. That's something you might not want to do on your vacation, because the bathroom floor was alrealy quite dusty.. The kitchen was equipped OK.||||Besides the quite poor linen and pillows the beds were ok to sleep in. The problem was that the hotel staff started cleaning very early in the morning (around 8 AM) and all the noises, yelling and rattling came through our paper thin door. It was hard to get a good sleep for someone who wakes up to sounds easily. The staff was very friendly, though.||||The hotel swimming pool area was really clean and very nice, however. The location of the hotel was great, too. The beach was right outside the hotel and there were shops, bars and restaurants just around the corner. A short walk to Platanias' "center". ||||I would recommend this hotel for someone who is satisfied with a lower standard hotel with basic services. Also try to get a room from the newer building, if possible. This hotel is for you if you get a good deal with...
Read moreMary's hotel and appartments is for sure and really a TRIPADVISOR!||All the staff is trying to make your stay unforgettable. Their hotel is situated a few meters from the sea and on the other side a few meters from the mainstreet where you can shop, eat, get information for execursios and you can rent a car, scooter or something else. We did rent a scooter and got from Constantino and Emanuela fantastic tips for a day out. ||Also a tripadvisor is taverna Fantastiko in Maroulas; a family taverna with very good Greek food and most of all a magnificant view specially with sunset. So we can really recommend Mary's hotel and appartments! Thank you for your friendly and...
