We had the superior apartment, the middle one above poolbar. My children were in the smaller studio 215, the building closest to the sea, with a brilliant view. All apartments are very clean and new. In the bigger apartments there is a separate airco in the bedroom. Airco’s (free of charge)continue working even when your accesscard is out of the electricity slot. So when you return to your apartment, it is still cool. Cleaning is very good, every day the will clean the floor, wash your dishes, make up the beds and change towels. Sheets on the bed are changed every other day. The receptionist Angie is super friendly and will help you mo matter what. Everything to make the guests happy. Good food and drink in the pool. Also very friendly staf. Also a nice and big swimming pool. Although we were here in high season, the pool was not crowded. The beds around the pool sometimes occupied, but there were always enough beds free with umbrella. As always there are some people who will claim beds in the morning by putting the towels on it, sit for a few minutes and then return after a few hours(I really don’t understand these people). But in general there were beds available. Unfortunately the umbrellas and beds were moved from the beach to the gras of the hotel. I don’t know why. But beach is very nice; sand with some stones. We had a very nice stay here. Platinias is nearby, 6 min drive, is has a lot of nice restaurants, shops, entertainment, etc. Chania is at 25 min drive and a beautiful city. We liked it more...
Read moreAbout the best hotel I've been to actually. Very friendly staff and the restaurant is terrific. Superb food, SUPERB staff, and reasonable priced. A dinner for 2 adults and 2 kids usually end up at around 50 euros and that's with drinks. The housekeeping was changing our towels every other day which is totally fine. The reception was very helpful when we needed to rent a car and helped us make a deal aswell.
The hotel is around 3 years old and the staff have taken well care of it. The pool is enormous, maybe 8m by 20m with a built in kiddie pool for the toddlers. The pool is 1.5m deep and 60cm deep in the toddler section. The hotel is situated at the north coast of Crete just next to the mediteranian and you can hear the ocean at night. There is a tennis court next to the hotel if you fancy playing that. From Chania it takes about 45 minutes to get here. I would suggest renting a car because the closest supermarket (real supermarket not a kiosk) is about 20 minutes away. Elafonissi is around 1h 30 mins away and 25 mins from Limnoupolis (closest waterpark).
I'm not the type of person to revisit where I've been before because I like new experiences, but at this hotel I'm highly reconsidering to do so. Overall a 5 out of 5, no...
Read moreRead moreBeautiful hotel with a really good price/quality ratio! The rooms are bigger than other hotels and the housekeeping is excellent! The staff is really friendly and even though we had a late night flight they still had the kitchen open for some food! The hotel has a lot of space, so there is always space to have your sunbed somewhere. The swimming pool is also large enough so that it is never busy. The location has it positives and negatives. Negative is that there is not much in walking distance (if you dont want to walk 15/30 minutes on small roads). Positive is that if you rent a car (recommended!) there are a lot of things in driving distance of ~ 1 hour (Balos), Chania, other small villages etc. Other positive is that it is quite in the evening. Two downsides of this hotel are there were a lot of windy days and with a bit of wind you cannot swim in the sea (red flag). Other downside is that on sunday the hotel is open for locals and that is is really really busy at the swimming pool. We always stayed away on sunday for that reason. Even though it has a few downsides the hotel is really great and we would love to...
