Staying at this villa in Greece was truly a dream come true. The property is absolutely stunning—immaculately clean, full of charm, and equipped with everything you could possibly need. The rooms were spacious, the décor stylish and upscale, blending modern comfort with authentic Greek character. Every detail felt thoughtfully curated.

The outdoor areas were just as impressive. We especially loved the pool and BBQ area, which became a favorite spot for our family to unwind and share dinners together in the calm of the Cretan evenings. It was the perfect place to relax after a day of exploring.

But what truly made this experience unforgettable were our hosts, Yolanda and Panos. Their hospitality was nothing short of extraordinary. Warm, attentive, and genuinely kind, they offered thoughtful suggestions and were always available if we needed anything. I’ve never had hosts treat us with such care and generosity.

Because of them, I fell in love with Greece—its people, its food, and the deep, authentic charm that surrounds you at every turn. The nearby village felt like a portal to another time, where life moves slower and people still matter.

And Rethymno—what a jewel. Full of beautifully decorated shops, cozy restaurants, and poetic corners, it captured our hearts completely.

Loved our stay at Villa Mera, everything we needed was here. We were welcomed by the gorgeous Yolanda, who had left beers, water and wine in the fridge for us as well as tea and coffee. The villa is a good size and very homey. There’s aircon in every room. The garden is very private and beautiful with all the planting and the pool is lovely. The views from the balcony are very special. Yolanda gave us lots of recommendations for how to get around, we had taxi numbers, she organised a discount for parasailing and she checked on us throughout the week too. Everyone in this area is really nice and friendly. The shingle beach is 10 mins walk, and if you don’t have a car it was €15 taxi into Rethymno town. Lots of shops and...

Our stay at the Kalimera Villas was truly exceptional. The Arios Lux villa is exactly as pictured. The view alone was worth the trip — absolutely stunning at any time of day, and especially the sunsets. Manos is a remarkable host: generous, well-connected, and always ready to help with anything we needed, from booking the best restaurants to sharing all the hidden beaches. Mention his name in town, and you’ll instantly feel like a VIP.
