This is not a 5 star hotel. 3, maybe 4, but definitely not 5. I stayed there with my family for one week. Whe we given a sheet of paper to inform us about hotel services upon arrival in greek language. The reception area and the hallways are huge, very nice, with statues, paintings plants, aquarium and lots of sofas. So it kinda looked like 5 stars. But when we entered the room it was tiny. Also the wardrobe had no shelves, we had to keep our clothes in our bags for the whole trip. There was a tv, an empty refrigerator, a water boiler and air conditioning; no other facilities in the room. Also to say there are no apartments in that hotel. There are only pair of double rooms separated by doors so if you open the doors you have an "apartment" with 2 rooms and if you close the doors you get 2 separate rooms. This would not be necessarily a problem, but the doors are not soundproof at all; not even a rubber gasket, nothing, just a plain piece of wood as doors used to be 50 years ago. Because of this you can hear any noise from the other room (I cannot imagine how it's like to have some strangers in the other room and hear all the sounds they make). The entry door was the same, so all noises from the hallway were heard as well inside the room. The double bed was in fact formed of two separate single beds that slipped away all the time. I had a pair of shoelaces and tied the beds together in order to sleep without pushing the beds back in place every hour (very noisy thing by the way and couple of times we were woken up by guests doing the same in other rooms). About the food I could write pages about how bad it was. I will only tell the highlights. The only meat for breakfast were baloney and frankfurters (as if they were buying the cheapest food from the supermarket). It was the only hotel ever where stillwater is not included in the menu for dinner and you have to buy it separately. Chalk came out of the water boiler for tea - they told me not to worry, just throw the water away and try again. Several times we just went to restaurants nearby to eat even if meals were already paid. The evening before we left we asked for some food to go, as we were leaving at 6 am and could not have breakfast - we were told this is not possible, so once again we went to a store nearby and bought some food. Not to say the children playground looked horrifying (just a tiny slide surounded by a small fence) and the backyard looked like an abandoned place. Oh, and the water in the bathroom that was brownish from time to time so we were not sure if we were washing or just putting some more dirt on us. In conclusion, this hotel makes a great entrance to make a good impression; then it offers accommodation and food which are way overpriced compared to other hotels where are no statues, no threes and no sofas at the reception. I used to stay at 3 star hotels in Krete where accommodation was about the same and...
Read moreI am really sad to give this hotel only 3 stars ...I really liked it here, but I have never had such a bad experience before with the room I stayed in. First of all, the room was gorgeous, really big, on the ground floor (room 136), but it's right underneath the restaurant. I really don't understand how they can do this!! All day long, starting with 6 am and every night until midnight there was an infernal noise...chairs pulling non-stop, tableware clattering, people laughing...it was like they were in the room with me! This is totally unacceptable, especially for a 5* hotel. In front of our room there was a pavement with small rocks and every night around midnight they were passing by our door bringing all tableware/dishes from the bar I think, which were dangling horribly! It was like a train was passing by our door and I am not exaggerating at all! This is just lack of respect for their guests. They absolutely don't care about the guests. We have a small baby and I wanted to change the room, but there wasn't available a room of the same size and we needed the space. Every Thursday and Saturday they put on a show. Again the noise was horrible...I asked at the reception to lower the volume, because it was very loud, and they were insisting that the show will end soon..So what? I should be patient?
Other than these problems, I was really happy with the hotel. Maybe if you get a different room, the experience is different..I don't know. The food is really good and diverse, the room and hotel grounds were clean. The pool was awesome, I have never seen a pool with such warm water. Also, the drink menu for all inclusive was amazing - never seen champagne on an all inclusive menu. The drinks were diverse and really good quality, not just a lot of water and ice like I've seen in other places. The beach is not wow, but clean and the water is clear. It has rocks which is a little frustrating. The hotel is about 1 hour 30 min from the airport, of course depending on what type of transfer you have and how many stops you make to other hotels. What I also liked about it is that they only had aqua gym in the morning, without any other entertainers to annoy you. If it wasn't for the position of the room (because the room itself was great) I would've given this hotel 5 stars. This is definitely a hotel I would come back to, but would choose...
Read moreService was at a 0 level. Worse place to stay! Please stay back from this hotel, and comments about it being awful is right on point. Not a 5* hotel, maybe 2-3* max.
They are not cleaning rooms properly, stained sheets and pillowcases are common. Toilets are never disinfected, not even cleaned one in 10 days of our residence. To get our room “cleaned” we asked at reception, and “cleaning” was nothing close to word clean!
Food is not that good((( they have same food for every dinner. And they reuse food from past days, meat that was served last night, can be in your “new” dish today. Awful!
Be aware if you buying All-Inclusive, it is not that - you just will have additional lunch available for you (which is same as dinner and stay without any changes) and that’s it. Cocktails are made only with cheapest alcohol possible, and choice is limited to 2-3 options, if you asking for anything you need to pay extra (and prices are definitely overpriced).
Reception service is rude, they are not interested in helping you at all. Not explaining you anything, and hoping you leave them alone. We were asking about services by ourselves, nobody explained what is included in All-Inclusive and what is not. No one has told us any information at all.
Beach towels are at 10€ deposits, and smelly. And because stuff is doing their jobs just to get true the day, people was using towels to “book” beach sunbeds in the morning (5 AM). Stuff in this hotel is not about service, or some rules.
To be honest - sea view is not that you expect. So be careful with that, not all rooms that considered sea view are good ones.
Please do not look at photos added to their website or Facebook, territory of the hotel is incredible small, beach (with all umbrellas booked at 5AM), pool areas and that’s it. Restaurant “a la Carte” is just some chairs and tables that was played between pool and beach bar area (that you need to pay even if you are All-Inclusive as well).
Right now I’m thinking about something positive to add about this hotel, but nothing comes to mind. If not for ourselves, restaurants nearby and our ability to enjoy sea our valuation was ruined 😡… But I can not say anything good about...
