Stella Katrin — Hotel in Municipality of Rethymnon

We booked this place as a last minute deal and got an amazing price for all inclusive. |The location was stunning, what a beautiful part of the world! The beach was just over the road and the sea was so clear and warm (first time I've swum in the sea for over 20yrs - wouldn't even go in the sea in Florida) there were sea turtle nesting sites everywhere which was such a lovely surprise. |We never saw a single police officer, not a single one (not even in the airport). Beautiful atmosphere without any hassle at all. Loads of vehicles were left with their keys in the ignition and windows open, it was so relaxed and friendly with a beautiful ancient city just a short, cheap bus journey away. |The hotel is an excellent base, its clean, friendly and well situated. The all inclusive drinks were of a limited range but there was a cheap shop just around the corner and bars and restaurants all around so you can dip in and out of your all inclusive as and when it suits you. The food was basic but I'm a vegetarian and my other half is a big eater and we didn't struggle with the food at all. So many places to go out and eat, the local Greek restaurants made absolutely AMAZING food and it was always a cheap night out: this holiday is what you make it.|If you use the hotel as a well situated base that can cover all your needs with a view to exploring the local cities, sampling the local foods, cocktails and restaurants then you will have an amazing holiday. We arrived quite late but they still served us dinner, which we were really thankful for! AC is available for 6€ per day. Safe is also available for 2€ per day.||Soft drinks, beer, wine and Raki are for free. The food was really good! There was a big variety every day: meat, fish, pasta, rice, vegetables, salad, cake... we couldn't have asked for anything more. ||The hotel is owned by a family and during our stay, we felt like family too. If there was any problem, the staff was making a great effort to help us. ||The rooms are cleaned every day as well as the pool, so everything is nice and clean every day! ||The beach is only 3 minutes away.||They also offer some trips to amazing places all around Crete. I highly recommend to take part! For only a little price you drive to the most beautiful places (Elaffonisi, Preveli, traditional villages, monasteries, Matala, Chania, Knossos...). The trips are mostly lasting the whole day as you stay at nice beaches as well. But they are also open minded for suggestions. If you want to go somewehre just ask, they will take you there! ||All in all I can say that I had the best time in this hotel and with the owners. They are such nice people and they try really hard to make your stay pleasend. I really cannot understand the bad ratings. But some people you can never satisfy I guess... ||Thank you everyone in the hotel for making us feel like family! We will definetly...

Just come back from stella katrin rethymnon. Adele. Great modern hotel .We landed in chania .picked up on time.took us to stella katrin. When we arrived the staff there were warm very friendly. Explained to us what we get for all inclusive. And what you pay extra.our room was clean and was a good size.a/c fridge tv all working .so a good start. Drinks from the bar are very generous. And the food was good .They are very lovely family very helpful. And the location is fantastic great beach over the road.with showers and life guards.or you can stay at the hotels pool .It's a good size. With baby pool .We had some great times in the main pool.so for the money you pay for stella katrin it's worth every penny.i give them excellent review. If you want wifi it's best to organise from home .Because it's the best in Europe. Greece s Internet is much slower then the uk.but everywhere you go they have free wifi .its worth going for a drink and using there net for a hour.but stella katrin I will go back...
