Onar Suites — Hotel in Municipality of Rethymnon

My wife and I have just returned from a very pleasant and restful 10-night stay at the Onar Superior Suites. We were greeted on arrival by Maria and Manolis who showed us to our room (Iris suite). The fridge was stocked with beer, wine, water and fruit and there was a box of fantastic home-made biscuits on the coffee table, followed a few days later by a home-made carrot cake. There is a very welcome bottle of home-made Raki in the lobby which I took advantage of many times. The apartment was very clean and bright with fantastic views of the town and fortress walls from the rooftop terrace. The apartment is ideally positioned for shops and restaurants, some of the best are literally less than 100 metres away. The bedroom was really quiet at night, we both slept very peacefully. I cannot thank the family enough for the way we were looked after, we were completely left to our own devises but knew if we needed assistance with anything they were there. We would recommend the Onar Superior Suites without problem and would love to return...

This is a family owned and operated business in Rethymno. The location is fantastic with restaurants and bars just a short stroll in nearly every direction. |If you consider what most hotels will describe constitutes a “superior” sized room, the word superior that Onar have used to describe their rooms does not do it justice. The room we had on the first level was a very generous size especially in comparison to other places we have stayed in the 5 weeks we have been travelling. My two daugthers and me where the last two weeks at the Onar Suites and loved it very, very, very much! The location in the heart of the old town is perfect. All that you want is just a few meters away. Our rooms (Iris) where absolutely beautiful and lovely arranged. We felt like at home! Not just like customers, but like real guests. Especially because our hosts Maria, Manolis and the whole family treated us with their warm hospitality.
