We visited late at night and there were other people ordering and we were told that we can order. Me and a friend ordered just a chicken fillet burger with chips and realised that it contained bacon that was not listed in the menu nor mentioned to us that we could not eat due to religious reasons and an intolerance. However we understood and asked if the burger can be taken off the bill and we will pay for the chips, the lady said she will be right back and asked if that's possible. She never came back and no one else came to check on us, instead they were hovering around and watching us. We did not know what to do with the food and our food slowly came last so our group had already eaten a large portion of theirs. We asked for the bill but she never came back with the bill and we had to get up twice to ask. We asked, again, what to do about the burger and what we are paying. The woman instead blamed us and was condescending while standing over and pointing at us while arguing and said how were they meant to know and why should they list the ingredients, justifying just writing "Crispy chicken burger" and then giving other meat, that we would not have ordered if we had known. They refused to take the food back, despite us saying we'll pay for the chips and ignored us for the rest of the night and wanted us to pay for the whole meal, blaming us. We didn't argue and tried to explain and be nice but when I went up to pay, the people were being really snappy and I had to say multiple times that I'm there to pay my portion but only received a rude attitude. Me and my friend left the place without touching the food because it took a while for the food to come and the whole cat and mouse chase with the waitress made the chips go hard and cold. I am confused on what would they have done if a person had an allergy to an item in their meal that was not listed or mentioned by the Waitress. Refuse to take it away and make them pay for it? They are not accommodating to dietary...

We tried to be understanding and offered to just pay for the chips as we didn't want to trouble the kitchen, the waitress refused to take the food and said she will have to check and ignored us for the rest of the night. We didn't know what to do about the food and just sat there trying to get the attention of someone. Instead they just hovered and watched us. Asked for the bill and she said she'll bring it but never did. Two of us had to go up and ask again and ask about the burger and she argued with us while being condescending and saying its not their fault and how were they meant to know so they decided the right course of action was to ignore us and make us pay for a meal that we didn't eat because it was cold and blame us for not knowing when the only thing written on the menu was crispy chicken burger while blaming us. All we wanted to do was put the chips on a separate plate and pay for that but she never came back. We were fed up and decided to go up to pay but another woman was being really snappy and rude to us while we were paying, not listening to us. This restaurant is not accommodating to dietary restrictions like other restaurants in the area. Example, at another restaurant there was an item that shouldn't have been in the food and we sent it back and they apologised and we were happy and left a nice tip for their good hospitality. There was no good hospitality at this restaurant and they need to think about their inclusitivity and properly label...
Read moreWe had a late dinner at bakalogatos and unfortunately our dining experience was ruined by an easily avoidable mistake. The restaurant who do not have the ingredients on their menu properly served us a burger with bacon that was listed a crispy chicken. It would be nice if they could actually list what is in their food so that they could, in the future not provide terrible service to paying guests. The argument "how are we supposed to know what people can and can't eat" makes absolutely no sense firstly, you have the ability to ask people yourself and secondly you could write the menu with the details about the food. How were we supposed to know what was in the product you are selling? Im just grateful that we some how avoided allergens despite this issue. It would be greatly appreciated if there could be a bit more respect for this in the future. The staff were helpful until a problem arose and then they all seemed to avoid our table like the plague guarding the entrance like we'd dine and ditch. Not very respectful if you ask me. Not to mention we asked for the bill they said they'd bring it over and we still had to get up and pay because they never came back to our table. Lastly, It would also be great if the staff wouldn't argue back with us over basic food safety procedures and basic customer etiquette I hope no one else receives the discrimination...
