Let’s start by talking about what is really great about this villa: 1. The pool. 2. The cleaning ladies. The pool is one of the best we have ever enjoyed in a villa. It was delightful and beautifully maintained. The two cleaning girls could not have been nicer and visited six days out of seven keeping the villa clean and tidy. Top marks.||Sadly from this point, my review moves into some pretty negative territory, but I’ll try to be as succinct as possible.||||1. Location: all information available online suggests this property is located in the centre of Pefkos close to all amenities. If that is important to you then listen up. It is actually located five minutes by car outside of the town at the top of the sort of precipitous path that might appeal to a mountain goat. Unless you are in training for an attempt to conquer Mount Kilimanjaro, this is not a villa you can enjoy without a car. As best I would accuse the owners of being misleading, at worst, dishonest. ||2. Luxury: the owners have a very different definition of this word to me. I’m quite prepared to accept that when the villa was new it would have been quite something, but over the years an apparent absence of maintenance has resulted in the ‘luxury’ of working fly screens, doors that close and windows that shut all being denied to current guests. Expecting some quality bathroom toiletries to be provided? Forget it. You will need to bring your own. It maybe that the owner has a history in the real estate business which might explain the overly lavish descriptions provided. I might suggest ‘budget’ a more accurate descriptor.||3. Health and safety: you may arrive by hire car and depart via ambulance. Firstly the steep marble staircase encountered next to the entrance door is a potential death trap, especially if you arrive in the dark and step over the threshold too far to the left. Handy if you want to push your partner into an early grave but I’m assuming that aspiration won’t appear on too many family holiday itineraries. Secondly the outside seating area looks very appealing and comfortable. A view shared I imagine by the resident feral cats who seem to have deposited an entire colony of fleas into the chair covers. After one hour of reading on my first afternoon I emerged looking like a measles patient. In forty years of renting villas I have never been so assaulted by insects suggesting insufficient attention is given to guest welfare. ||||In summary I would suggest persuading some not-so-close friends to rent this villa so you can go round and use the top-notch pool but try and avoid sitting on anything and be pleasant to the cleaning girls if you see them. They are very...
Read moreThere were 7 of us in Villa Passithia. Beautiful villa with great views and facilities. The pool was gorgeous and the sun beds very comfortable. Be aware this villa is accessed by a very steep long drive. Great if you are fit but if you have walking difficulties like me you need to hire a car. I hired an electric wheelchair from Happy days in Pefxos which was great, and needed. Our party was aged between 29 and 65 and all found it hard. That said we enjoyed a fabulous stay. I can definitely recommend Blue Dream Villas and our villa was an easy 10min walk to the centre. Blue dreams villas also have a collection right in Pefxos with a shared pool. This would have been better for me and will definitely book this next time. |Positives|great location |Excellent views|Spotlessly clean|Great facilities |Best bedrooms I have had in any villa with lots of wardrobe space, draws and dressing table |Fantastic pool |Attached 1 bed studio with own access which was perfect for our group|Fabulous bar and restaurant 2 mins away|Villa company arranged a lift down the hill for me on our departure ||Negatives|The very steep drive to access the villa |If you have private transfer via mini bus you are dropped off at the bottom of the steep drive. ||Overall we had a fabulous holiday...
Read moreMy wife and I just spent 9 nights at Blue Dream Villas (our 4th stay here)As always from the moment we arrived, we felt relaxed and completely at home. The vibe is peaceful, private, and perfect.||The villas are beautiful—spotlessly clean, and super comfortable. The beds were comfortable, and we especially loved waking up in the morning sitting on the balcony with a coffee. The private pool was a total highlight—we spent hours just lounging, swimming, and soaking up the sun.||The family were so warm and welcoming, always available if we needed anything. Everything felt effortless and thoughtful, right down to the little touches like fresh towels and welcome pack on arrival.||The location was also great—close enough to Restaurants, Bars and the beach but tucked away enough to feel peaceful and secluded. We left feeling completely recharged and already coming back again in September.||Blue Dream Villas are an absolute gem....
