Basilico Pefkos Italian-Mediterranean restaurant — Restaurant in Municipality of Rhodes

Basilico delivered a spot-on evening of relaxed dining with very friendly service. From the moment we arrived, everything felt smooth and welcoming — no fuss, no waiting, just a team that knows how to look after you.

The atmosphere was calm and confident, with real attention to detail. The decor was authentic without being pretentious. The owner, who runs the floor, clearly cares about the experience — full of passion when talking through the menu and quietly proud of the wood-fired oven (you get the sense it was an investment, and rightly so). Even though we only had Cheesy Garlic Bread out of it.

Leigh had a chicken fillet with crispy potatoes, cooked by the same guy who brought out the cheesy garlic bread — both absolutely spot on. Proper credit to him. I was aiming for the sea bass, but it had sold out, and one of the waitresses recommended the chicken risotto instead. It turned out to be a beautiful dish — lightly infused with saffron, perfectly balanced, and made by the Head Chef himself.

The same Chef came out later to say hello — clearly passionate about his work, and it showed in every part of the dish. Just one of those little touches that makes a meal feel more personal.

And to top it off, we took the tiramisu back to the hotel and had it for breakfast the next morning. No shame, no regrets — just holiday logic.

Definitely one we’ll return to — and next time, we’re getting there early enough to claim...

This new restaurant and apartments saved our holiday to Rhodes…. One night into a poor choice of hotels we started searching for a new accommodation and we found Allure Lindos Villa and Allure Pefkos Apartments….. This led us to Basilico and the owner who was very welcoming, the food amazing, the wine was just what we needed and service excellent…. We have been back again and again, for great food, and super chilled rose ! The best pizza, the Basilico pizza is amazing and tiramisu with a punch was perfect to finish off the meal again! We will be back and planning to stay at the Allure Apartments in Lindos and Pefkos….. Thank you Chrysanti, you made our holiday ☀️🍕🍷 (lots of wine) Our price per head was mainly wine !! Had a lovely meal at Basilico last night. Very welcoming staff who checked with us throughout if we were happy with the food and drinks. I ordered the Salmon with puréed seasonal veg which was delicious and fresh tasting and my husband had the Gnocchi Gorgonzola which was so creamy and full of flavour (sorry not photos - we were enjoying it too much!). The Tiramisu for desert was the best I have ever had, with milk chocolate cocoa dusting on top. To finish off, we were given a little shot of limoncello.
