The Villa is absolutely gorgeous (we had Villa Meliti). The design is contemporary and stylish. The villa is full of light and there are patios and balconies on every floor. The villas are situated on the coastal road, you have a view of the sea from the villa and you can walk across the road to the beach in under a minute. They have even placed beach umbrellas and sunbeds on the beach for the guests. The kitchen is very well equipped and you will find everything you need in the villa including washing machine, hair dryers, a good selection of tv channels in English and other languages, good and free wifi, plenty of towels for the bathroom and the pool/beach, and an information directory on the villa, where to go/eat etc. The staff (manager Karen, and cleaning and maintenance staff Elda and Antonio) and the owner are all very friendly and helpful and clearly take great pride in the high standard of the villas and every effort is made for guests to have an enjoyable and comfortable stay. When we arrived they had even stocked the fridge with supplies including wine, bottled water, bread, ham, cheese, crisps and more. This was such a nice and welcoming touch. There were also flowers in the house and a liitle rosebud in the box where we collected our key. The manager was also there to meet us on arrival. The pool is beautiful and looks stunning all lit up at night. The gardens are also beautiful, with herbs you can use for cooking and little olive trees. The photographs on the web site are accurate and a true reflection of the villa. The beds and pillows are very comfortable and the bed linen and towels were spotless and new. The villa was spotlessly clean and although a few years old everything looked as good as new. ||||When you are eating your breakfast on the deck, beside the pool and looking out at the sea you will say "this is the life"!||||We went at the end of March/start of April which is very early in the season and none of the local restaurants were open yet. So we had to drive into the villages and Lindos and Rodos to find restaurants that were open. However if you go during the peak season you will find around 5 nice looking restaurants within walking distance of the villa. The pool is not heated and was too cold to use in April however I understand that during the warmer months the sun heats up the pool nicely. ||||Kiotari is a quiet area and makes for a peaceful relaxing holiday. You do need a car here if you want to visit other areas. I would recommend visiting Lindos, Rhodes Town (and The Mystery of Rhodes game and the Throne of Helios both in Rhodes Town). If you do go in the low season, restaurants that are open that we would recommend are Roulas in Lardos, Stefani's in Lindos and The Lindos Ice Bar. Snorkeling in St Paul's Bay in Lindos was also very enjoyable. The advantage of going so early is that you have the place to yourself and the roads and beaches are almost empty. You also get a more authentic taste of the island. The weather was pleasant and mostly sunny with temperatures around 20 degrees but cold at night. The downside is that it lacks a bit of atmosphere. Our teenager would have preferred to go later in the season when the water parks are open and the water sports are up and running (and the pool and sea warmer). However my husband and I found it more relaxing going this time of the year and the other 2 kids aged 10 and 8 enjoyed the holiday especially chilling out in the villa and the snorkeling in St Paul's Bay.||||Rhodes itself is a very pretty island with a beautiful coastline and beaches, azure seas, a long and interesting history, and Greek charm and character.||||Enjoy...

We spent a relaxing and very enjoyable week at the Villa Alia in August 2014. The villa was very comfortable, everything we used worked perfectly. The beds are comfortable, the air conditioning is quiet, effective and easy to operate. Armchairs are great, very comfortable. Loved the view over the pool and lawn across to the sea from the upstairs balcony and from the terrace near the pool. The beach is just across the (quiet) street from the villa where you have two sun loungers and a beach umbrella waiting for you.||||Take beach/swimming shoes along for the pebbles. If you don't have them, they are also available in Kiotari. The sea is very clear and when we were there it was also very calm. You can just spend all day drifting between the pool and sea, the tavernas and nipping in and out of the house, but with a car there are also good places to visit. Nowhere is very far away in Rhodes. We drove to Rhodes town one evening to stroll about which was pleasant in the cool of the evening but check opening times first if you want to visit a museum. They close earlier than you'd expect. It is about an hour's drive to Rhodes. Lindos is a pretty town a short drive away with a lot of souvenir shops, some nice rooftop restaurants with a view of the acropolis and definitely worth a visit but it can get crowded. If you are going up to the acropolis, be sure to wear shoes with a good grip. About 5 mins drive from the villa is a watersport centre where we rented jet skis, they also rent motorboats and offer various rides. Generally though it is a quiet place which is what we wanted.||||What really makes this place special is the unfailing friendliness and helpfulness of the people you meet there. Kyrenia handled our booking and was very helpful. She is bilingual and is there for you if you have any problems. The housekeeping and garden/pool maintenance are done by a friendly couple who go out of the way to make you feel welcome. Iohannis the owner is the loveliest person imaginable. We arrived very late in the evening and he very kindly called around for us to find a restaurant that was open and even escorted us there in his car. That has never happened to us anyway else we have spent a holiday. You really are in good hands at Horizon Line. ||||There is a supermarket 3 mins drive away which has everything you are likely to need but not much in the way of fresh meat/fish. Next to it is a small butcher's shop. The supermarket sells fresh bread and croissants and really anything you might want in the way of breakfast food, general goods and a small but good selection of fruit and vegetables. The local tavernas are relaxed places to eat and we found the food was always of a good quality and service very friendly everywhere in Kiotari.||||To the right of the villa about 5 mins away is the Lighthouse bar and taverna, to the left Stefanos taverna where we ate often - and there are more along the beachfront and nearby. We also ate at Angelikos a couple of times which isn't on the beachfront but has a good selection. The customers there were almost...

Villa||We stayed in Villa The villa is beautiful to look at. The open plan living area and kitchen is well laid out. The air-conditioning unit keep the area cool and was very quiet for such a unit. The master bedroom is upstairs via a marble staircase. It is spacious with enough room for your clothes and luggage. The en-suite bathroom has a small sink and a shower over the bath. The bath was a Jacuzzi bath but we never tried that feature out. There was also a shaving mirror and hairdryer. Downstairs from the living area are two more small single bedrooms with a shared bathroom which also had a shower over the bath. One of the single bedrooms had a view out onto the back garden whilst the other only a ceiling skylight to the outside.||The kitchen contained everything you could think of including a fridge stocked with ice, a bottle of wine, bread, butter, cheese and ham; enough for a snack on a late arrival. There’s also an oven, microwave oven, coffee maker, coffee percolator and toastie maker.||They supply plenty of towels and service the villa every four days. ||We asked the villa if they could extend our stay after checkout at midday as the taxi was picking us up at 5pm. Because they had no one arriving that day they allowed us to stay until 5pm without charging us any extra. ||||Location||The location is very quiet indeed. There are 8 restaurants within half a kilometre of the villa. My personal favourite was Petalas that server a wonderful stifado and lovely strong cocktails. None of them had a great choice of vegetarian dishes other than salads. All the restaurants were very quiet apart from Stefanos (not sure why as I thought it was a little overrated). The supermarket can be reached via the very busy main road to the left of the villas (750 m) but I preferred to walk the coastal road route which is longer but traffic free.||We had a taxi from the airport which was organised by the villa for us which took about 50 minutes and cost €90. We caught the bus to Rhodes Town which cost €7.10 but took 2 hours along the coastal road so we took a taxi back which cost €77 and took about 50 minutes.||||Beach||The beach is about 50 m from the villa. The villa has placed an umbrella and sun beds on the beach for your personal use and a wooden walkway that takes you right to the water’s edge. The first 15 m of the beach is gritty sand with another 30 m of large pebbles. I strongly advise getting some beach shoes that you can walk on the pebbles and swim in them.||||Sea||The sea is very salty and was as flat as a mill pond with no tide. It was very easy to swim in the dense water and we all swam out to the rocks about 300 m offshore without any effort. The sea was warm enough to swim in during the day and at night under the moonlight.||||The villa is beautiful. The location is very quiet so totally unsuitable for rowdy young groups looking to drink. The company went out of their way to be welcoming and helpful. I highly...
