Petalas — Restaurant in Municipality of Rhodes

CAUTION- NOT a nice Place- DON'T eat here! I was here and ordered Zuchinni Flowers with Cheese and the lamb Filet (allergical to fish). After one hour! waiting i asked for my food (locals that arrived after me got their food before me). The waitress brought me a rice dish with black Sauce and a kind of fish. She told me that this was my order. After that I pleased the waitress to bring the maindish cause I am definitly not able to eat fish. They brought me some chicken with tomato Sauce. Also told me that this was my order and it were my fault. I asked for Management but nobody came. Because i wait nearly 1 1/2 hour and stay hungry I won't wait even longer for the right dish. I must paid my Coke (altough I got nothing from the food I ordered) and leave. I got nothing for excuse from the staff or a nice word for saying Sorry . Nobody should treat people like this. Shame for this behaviour of this restaurant. Go to an other restaurant where nice people are. Nobody needs the experience to be treaten like this. Locals be prefered and get a nicer Service and food. Don't trust the 5 Star Ratings from locals or friends...

It was disappointing. The menu we were given was only in english. (tourist menu?!?) The drinks arrived fast but when we asked for a mixed meze plate the staff answered rudely no! So we ordered separately 6 meze and 5 main courses. It took about 60min for the first meze dish to arrive witch looked excellent. But they brought us the wrong meze. At this point there where to many mistakes and no apologies and every table that ordered after us already had there food. (Locals preferred!) We tried to cancel the main courses and we asked for the manager but nobody showed up. So we waited patiently for the main courses. And again the wrong dish was served. There was no apology or accommodation. Worst price-performance.

The worst experience in greece so far. If you're not greek don't go there.

Ursula Saurer: You didn't watched the hole thing! And yes the food looked good but if you order and get the wrong dish it doesn't matter how it looks. Especially if you are allergic to fish! We where patient but when you use a service, you want to be treated...

It took me a while to write this review sorry for that. It was with great pleasure and privilege to stop and eat here. I am still in shock as to why people are putting bad reviews. I was on vacation in September and I was told to go try this restaurant. Amazingly between the quality, design, flavor and art hands down one of the best I have eaten anywhere. From the tuna to the calamari, wine to desert, everything was perfect. Pricing is way affordable for what you get. This restaurant and kitchen does not belong there. It should be in a big city where people appreciate what they could offer. It was a pleasure for meeting the owner and the kitchen staff. Next time i will go back, cant wait to go there again. Thank you very much for everything Petalas family. hope to see...
