Stayed in mid October 2025 with a friend.|Positives|Our flight was delayed so we arrived late, after midnight. We were met by the Giannis’, who welcomed us, took our cases up to our room and invited us to the bar for a drink. We were too tired for a drink so they bought us up a lovely chilled bottle of water each. Giannis senior is a real character and made us feel at ease and very welcome. The hotel and rooms were really clean, there were plenty of sunbeds by the pool, those in the sun were reserved in the middle of the night (it seemed). The on site café which is open during the day was well used by other guests (3 euro for cup of tea was too much for me when there was a kettle in my room). We did use the bar restaurant in the evening but as I am a vegetarian, I soon ran out of options, but it was really convenient after a long day out. We had a couple of issues with the room which Giannis came and fixed straight away – Maria unfortunately told us an unsafe light switch and a floppy shower head were OK, hence waiting for Giannis to come in and fix stuff. The hotel is very close to the bus stops, so getting about is easy. Daily necessities (water and milk) available from the Kiosk which is a 2 minute walk away.|Negatives|To be honest there are not many negatives which are under the hotels control and I believe the whole site is undergoing a refurb this winter. Our room was very basic, no toaster or microwave, just a kettle and hotplate. The double bed was big (you have to be comfortable sleeping in the same bed as your holiday companion or one person can sleep in the kitchen). We did mention that a twin bed option as part of the refurb would be more flexible. The couches were very stained and I hope they clean or replace them. Bathroom was fine, did need a bit of a deep clean around the shower but perfectly acceptable. My biggest issue (not the hotels fault really) was the proximity to the busiest road on the Island. 24hours a day the sound of the traffic was in my opinion too much, motorbikes and lorries don’t seem to have any silencers. All the balconies in the big block look out onto this road – there is no escape. I am a little sound sensitive so I couldn’t use the balcony at all. There are only few local amenities, a walk down to the beach area is required for any bits and bobs (20 minutes for a large supermarket), same for restaurants and bars.|Rhodes is a beautiful island, the old town is magnificent, recommend a boat trip to Symi and trip to Lindos. Thank you to Giannis and Maria for a good holiday, just wish the hotel was further...
Read moreJust got back from 8 days in Paleos and had a great time, Yiannis and Maria the owners will do anything for you. The staff are all great.
Hotel The staff are all brilliant and really make the place special. We wanted a more family feel to a hotel and we certainly go that here. Breakfast is very flexible in that you ask for what you want and they will make it fresh for you. We didnt eat dinner but it looks nice. The Greek night is a must, loads of food and the entertainment is brilliant. The pool is big and there are lots of sunbeds to choose from. There is a nice bar at the front which opens from 17:30 and has a nice atmosphere. There isnt really a bar area for the day but you can still get a drink if needed. Rooms are spacious and we had a nice balcony on the front and back. As with most places in Greece, Air-con is extra as is the safe and dont forget tourist tax of 5 Euro per day. Rooms are slightly dated but have everything you need.
Location It is about a 15-20 min walk to the main centre with restaurants, bars and shops. If you cut down along the beach it actually feels more like 10-15mins and is a nicer walk. Rainbow bar on the beach is nice for sunset, food and drinks. Lots of options in the centre for food and drink. There is a small waterpark about 20mins up the road, a few slides and softdrinks/coffee is included. Not huge but very good value for money. There is also a very nice bakery next to the hotel and some coffee shops. The hotel is about 10mins from the airport.
Rhodes town is about 20mins on the bus and the bus stop is right outside the hotel. Its about 3 Euro to get there. Lots to see and do and recommend visiting
Tips Ask Yiannis for food recommendations and he has a great Greek restaurant which is quite close. Some restaurants (especially in Rhodes town) are reluctant to take card or 'the internet is down' so take cash as a backup. We had this on at least 3 occasions. The bus can get very busy on the way back from Rhodes town, if you cant stand it might be worth getting a taxi back (Approx 17 Euro). You may get a seat if you time it right. The bakery does very nice sandwiches and they are good price. The sports bar in the centre has the best play area if you have kids, food is actually really good. There is a small kiosk right of the hotel about 2mins, sells all that you need for...
Read moreAbsolutely superb, from the minute we got of the coach we were instantly welcomed by Giannis extremely friendly explained how everything worked and got the keys to our ground floor apartment. The apartment was fantastic, great sized bedroom with sitting area and kitchen. Shower was superb. Extremely clean had maids everyday to clean the apartments but we requested every 2 days, but they checked in on us everyday to make sure we were ok. Honestly this place is a well oiled machine. The had their own cafe bar right next to the pool great for breakfast pizzas lunch beer etc etc, Maria was extremely helpful throughout our stay and was always on had through the day. Despite being extremely busy herself.
The pool itself is fantastic absolutely spotless in the pool and around the pool. There was guy there back of 5am getting it ready for the day ahead. Plenty of beds to top up on the tan. It's a real sun trap with little to no breeze. Don't forget the sun tan lotion. The bar is excellent too on until midnight to 1am, they have an extensive menu for both amazing Greek food and your traditional ones too, Souvlaki and Gyros, probably the best Gyros we've had in our time throughout Greece, the Lamb cutlets are incredible. And the prices are incredible for the volume of food you get. It's a very good fast service provided by both Giannis, yes there are 2 lol, don't miss Greek night it's fantastic the night we were there, there must have been about 60 people there and there is no way of escaping being pulled on to the dance floor by the dancers or Giannis himself. 2 big tvs to keep you occupied for sports channels, bar was always busy come evening time. Felt it was a really nice group of guests too who all got on and mingled till the bar shut. Both Giannis was very attentive to everybody there. The only downside was we were only there for 7 days. There a few cats kicking about the area but don't let them in your rooms as they can be guests who are allergic to animals. They are friendly and will approach you outside. Finally we'd like to say a massive thank you to Giannis and Giannis Maria and all staff in the cafe bar and of course the maids. It was truly memorable time and we will...
