I have to compare with the many hotels with all inclusive concepts I’ve tried over many years, and this hotel I did not google before booked - and if you do, you will see the reviews are very bad !! I visited the hotel end September and the was not full. I believe this makes the whole difference, because the pool had always available sun beds. And’s the way not that much que to get drinks and food. However they often missed knife, fork or glasses. Both at the poolbar and main restaurant.

Also being honestly, not everything was clean!!

Food in general, yes it is not so different every day but what was presented has a good taste. Could be worse!!

But to complain and be aware. There was no chips (French fries) every day. So this was a miss for the children we had.

Breakfast had pancakes and omelet. Not real omelets in my opinion, and only every second day. They change.

Meaning there are not Nutella/chocolate for bread in the days where they served omelettes. So disappointing. Never tried that.

Drink in general. Either the hotel chosen a less good quality, or this is typical Greece. I don’t know. But it was not the most tasty.

And the water dispenser are seriously awful. When we’re arrived almost midnight. Renfrew was only this water dispenser to dunk. B after a long travel we were very thirsty, and this was warm water we could get - it pay for drink in the a la Carte bar.

Tried other hotels. As minimum there is cold water, a bottle available, if not in the reception then in the room. Nothing here !! Other hotels has also a snack. Nothing.

The guy in the reception was also not happy that we did not have cash to pay the tourist tax of 7 euro per night. Said something I will not write here. Those was NOT the best impression.

Generally there are not so much smiles at the staff.

Cleaning is strange to. Two days were had to complain to reception because of no cleaning. My room was cleaned 3 days only. And the room has a lot of spiderwebs everywhere.

Seems like the cleaning are fast. In departure day, cleaning was also trying to clean before check out.

Seems that they lack of structure..

Be aware that reception cuts your all inclusive band even you check out 11 a clock. Bad luck if you’re flight are late !!

I cannot express my disappointment for that. What do the hotel think!! That I will come back and eat and stay another place - no way, we travel home. Simple they don’t trust you. That was it conclusion to trying to understand that behaviour.

Hotel are located with bus stop in front of the hotel where you easily can take the bus to Rhodes city in 20 minutes. Don’t pay tickets using their app or qr code. Bus do not always avert this. We had to pay twice. And no cash. Only card can be used in the bus.

Stone beach located 900 meters away. Possible to go there. No problem. And there are showers too. But have shoes because despite the water are great, there are many stones.

There are no city outside the hotel. There is a mini market and the area are not full of tourists. So you are located much outside of everything. Meaning, that you don’t go for a walk and look at shops. It doesn’t exist!

In general, the service are not the fastest. Food is decent and drink are not good. Cocktail especially not. Maybe this is a decision for making people pay.

The hotel should not cost you a lot of money, and don’t travel mid summer where they properly have many guest. Because this I don’t think they can manage. Hence the bad reviews. I think we got better than these reviews.

But it was strange. Fine and yet so many small things they easily could improve. Pool depth of 2,5 m are not fun !!

And there is a bad smell some areas but not where the room is. Only where the evening entertainment are.

Water park is not really used but many. But it is also located near the road. You cannot get drinks there either. And there are not toys for insuring. So people don’t use this.

So all taking into conclusion. If travel is cheap, then the hotel can be fine.

And last, safety box not In the room. It...

Honestly how they can say they are a 4 star hotel is beyond me!!

So first of all we had to pay €70 for each room before we could even check in to our rooms, the receptionist was polite and helpful but probably one of very few who was actually good at her job.

The room was very medicore with tatty blankets and out of date furnishings, i wouldn't say they had a high standard on cleanliness either, the best thing about it was the size of the balcony but the view was bland, the air con was actually OK even know the system is like 20-30 years old.

The entertainment is literally more or less the same everyday, they played the same songs and did the same water aerobics every day so like the same dances and same people, the night entertainment was also the same most of the time they again sang the same songs and catered more for children and not adults. There were never enough seats for everyone and no catering at all so if you left to go get a drink you would lose your seats, there were a couple of good acts but only on like 3 out of the 10 nights we were there.

The staff were terrible apart from a couple who were polite none of them really interacted with you, they were really rude and looked as though they were depressed and couldn't be bothered to be there. Mainly the lifeguard who was very rude, he had a table with no notice on it that the kids used and left some cutlery on, instead of asking if we could clear it which we happily would have done, he rudely told me to get my stuff and leave which he had no authority to do so I told him to stop been rude and he argued with me, after this he had a personal vendetta on all of us and even annoyed another family in the waterpark next to the hotel as he has a very negative attitude.

The pools were very unhygienic and weren't cleaned properly at all, there was a big pile of white powder left in the kids pool and around the edges of the water line were grubby and unsanitry. Also the drain around the edge stunk awful and were all cracked. The tiles were sharp in some parts which could be dangerous for kids and the floor was very slippy so i fell and hurt myself by just walking, there was also a broken drain cover which i hurt my toe on on the 2nd day which pullled half on my nail and skin off on the end of my toe. The toilet next to the pools was horrible, it stunk of wee and never had any toilet roll so you would have to find another toilet.

The food was awful it was very cheap food that was all open style buffet and flys were always around it, the cues were ridiculous and there was no order so people would push in front of you all the time and the food was always cooked in loads of oil and sometimes not cooked properly i got some chicken which was pink all the way through so not hygenic or safe to eat at all and the drinks were cheap and very sweet and all warm due to the heat, the lager they have on the self service which is how you have to get drinks unless you go to the bar is awful again it's warm cheap and tastes awful.

The shop next to the hotel is extortionate, the women who owns it is nice and friendly but her staff are rude and everything is overpriced. Where the hotel is located is far away from Ialiyos and Rhodes town there are a few local places but again mediocre and overpriced. So if you want decent food i would suggest going out to eat and book self catering. We went to a lovely beach front place called valentinas place where the food is fresh and so much better.

The experience was lovely, Greece is a beautiful country but if i ever go back i would never go back here it needs a serious revamp as 7 people went and 6 of us at some point got poorly, either diarrhea or throwing up, i then came home to have ear infection in both my ears which i am now taking an antibiotic spray for so please save your money and book somewhere else, you can defo find a much better place to stay.

I could of said more but these are some of the main reasons why i rated 1 stars, it ruined my holiday to some extent but i did have some good...

Before you even think about booking a stay at Filerminos Village, let me save you the trouble and your money. Rhodes has many splendid hotels, but this isn’t one of them. We splashed out over £3,000 for this holiday, and it feels like we’ve been had.

We booked this place for my birthday, and from the outside, it looked passable based on the reviews. The reception was clean and the staff friendly enough, so things started off on a positive note. But then we got to rooms. Shockingly outdated and basic, these rooms could double as a time capsule for the 80s. And despite it being warm outside, the heating was on full wack. No kettle for a cuppa, though they do provide a fridge – a very empty one, not even bottles of water provided unlike other 4-star hotels nearby.

Having travelled since the crack of dawn the day we arrived, we were eager to freshen up but as there were no bath towels or bedding in sight. The room phone was useless as it didn’t work, so we had to trek back to reception to get some.

Cleanliness? A word that’s clearly foreign to this establishment. Despite the cleaning manager having a mop and bucket tattooed on her neck. 🤔

The bathroom floor seemed to have an allergy to mops, the grout was brown stained, and the shower head & shower screen was encrusted with limescale.

The air conditioning unit looked like it had been through a war – covered in grime inside and with parts missing. The finishing around the sink was held together with what seemed to be a DIY silicone job, and there were holes in the ceiling which had obviously started from the room above but was now sprouting mould.

The food was an absolute travesty. We dined out almost every night or grabbed bits from the shop next door. The restaurant was a sauna every morning and on the occasion where we dined in there, making breakfast a sweaty ordeal, and we had to open windows just to breathe and were given funny looks by the restaurant staff for doing this and the cherry on top? Dead cockroaches in the dining hall, which the staff were in no hurry to clean up despite telling them numerous times they were there.

Every fizzy drink was flat, the beer was atrocious, and the à la carte menu was laughably overpriced. One evening, I was desperate for icy water, I was charged €5.50. When we vented our frustrations on social media, the bar and restaurant manager responded with a charming threat, promising to find us with the police.

Clearly, he’d had one too many drinks himself with his fellow managers in the bar as he called the cockroach on the back wall “margarita”when we told him there was one sat on a vodka bottle nothing was done about it.

While we're on the subject of the bar, here’s another gem: you're only allowed one drink per person at a time if you are drinking at the all inclusive bar. So much for the all-inclusive experience! And with just one barman on duty, getting that single drink took an eternity. In the end, we resorted to the shop next door for our drinks.

While we were here, we rented two hire cars from the lady at reception. She was lovely and friendly, looking after us well and recommending all the nice places to visit in Rhodes, including the best spots to eat. The Barman on the A La Cartè bar was lovely and he was extremely friendly but I dont understand why when you book an all inclusive holiday why you are forced to buy drinks from a separate bar.

The only highlight about this holiday is seeing Rhodes and its beautiful coastline and the swimming pool at the hotel apart from that these are the only good things about it.

In short, Filerminos Village was a complete disaster, and I wouldn’t recommend it to anybody. The hotel is in some desperate need of a re-vamp and the cleanliness needs to be addressed and any issues with rooms like the ones mentioned in this review need to be finished to a reasonable standard.

Avoid...

You cannot get drinks there either. And there are not toys for insuring. So people don’t use this. So all taking into conclusion. If travel is cheap, then the hotel can be fine. And last, safety box not In the room. It cost you 20 euro

I could of said more but these are some of the main reasons why i rated 1 stars, it ruined my holiday to some extent but i did have some good experiences.

🤔 The bathroom floor seemed to have an allergy to mops, the grout was brown stained, and the shower head & shower screen was encrusted with limescale. Avoid at all costs.
