Hello, everyone! I rarely write reviews because I'm simply too lazy to do so. This is probably my first online review in several years, but I consider it extremely important to give you an evaluation of this restaurant. Why am I doing this? I'm just tired of seeing sad and weary people walking by, refusing to go inside, while I sit there devouring the best Shrimp Saganaki in all of Yalissos. Stefanos Tavern is a family restaurant run by one large and friendly family. It has a wonderful, cozy atmosphere where no one blows cigarette smoke into your face, unlike in overcrowded restaurants in the resort center. The restaurant is frequently visited by regular guests, presumably those people who come to relax every year and drop by here. There's well-chosen ambient music playing. If we look at the menu, notable dishes include the village salad, shrimp saganaki, and BBQ mix. In my opinion, the BBQ mix should be more expensive; it's very tasty but, for some reason, not very expensive. I wasn't very impressed by the pizza, but we'll go to Italy or New York for pizza anyway, so that's not a problem. Why even eat pizza in Greece? Wrapping up my wall of text. A quiet place with excellent cuisine, free from crowds and queues. Go here once, and you'll find yourself eating only here. Thank you all for your attention! If by any chance you come based on my review, let the folks know; I hope it brings them joy :) P.S. That's the only photo I could find. That's me and my wife having...

Food: we ordered grilled sea beam and chicken gyros special. The fish was ok, it came with rice and wedges but nothing really special about it. This one was priced around 23 euro and at that price i feel there isnt value for your money. It was ok by any means but nothing extraordinary. The gyros, however, was very poor. In fact, it was not a gyros at all!! It was a grilled chicken breast chopped into pieces, and here they sold it as gyros. I was shocked and utterly disappointed with the meal. I love gyros and this one was very below par. It was so poor that i decided to take a pic to show the chicken breast pieces.
Drinks: cant really comment, we didnt order anything special, just had a draught beer and coke zero.
Atmosphere: good. It has some piano music playing at the background. There was no othwr visitor when we were there so it was very quiet but it is clean and well set up.
Recommendation: not recommended. if you go, unless you want chicken breast, i would skip the gyros and get something else. I didnt particularly find anything 'charming' about this place so i...
Read moreThe chicken schnitzel was half decent, wouldn’t mind having it again however the service I received was really poor- has to be the worst service I have had received in Greece so far. I was still eating when everyone had left and I was the only customer left in the restaurant - the staff seemed to be really bothered by my presence. I ordered a cocktail and the bartender couldn’t hide the frustration on his face ( bare in mind it was the most expensive cocktail on the menu ) all the staff looked annoyed in general , I understand we can’t all be happy all the time but you shouldn’t be making paying customers feel uncomfortable I was going to stay for another drink but they made me feel uncomfortable so I decided to pay the...
