We booked Porto Loutro on the hill as part of a Simpsons Travel package. We had a lovely spacious room (15) with beautiful views from the balcony which is large enough for a table and chairs and two sun loungers. The room is clean and bright with a large fridge to stock up on cold drinks , good air conditioning and good Wifi. It really is all you need for an enjoyable stay. Breakfast is served on the lovely terrace , fruit , yogurt, cheese and meat, fresh eggs and a lovely omelette , with juice tea and coffee. You are only a few minutes walk to the sea and we enjoyed a lovely swim before breakfast. Dinner is also served every night and is open to non residents. We ate here once and the food was delicious. Staff were friendly and helpful , and we enjoyed a night cap every evening before bed. bar prices were very reasonable. ||Loutro is only reached by boat . It is a fabulous quiet spot with great restaurants , crystal clear water for swimming and the opportunity to hike to various beaches or get on the regular ferries that leave the harbour every few hours. If you are looking for a traditional Greek holiday , with low key entertainment , beautiful views and total relaxation...
Read moreThe hotel and rooms are beautiful, loutro is beautiful, the staff was nice, especially the boat and sunbed guy. Loutro has no cars yes, so it's "quit" but there are no locals living there doing something else than tourism so it's really a tourist trap for white and wealthy people. Not charming. Two tiles came off in the bathroom while I stayed there and the smell in the room was like being in an old, humid house. Last but not least I asked for a receipt when I paid. That wasn't possible. They would send it per email. I reminded them per email. Still no receipt. This is not even legal. I noticed that the owner answers people who rate this hotel like me in a rude way so I am expecting a rude answer. Yes I stayed there. One night. I was supposed to stay 3 nights but being with lots of other tourists in a very small place is everything and listening to extreme noise from other rooms is everything but...
