The best place in Loutro I think.

They have the best μελιτζανοσαλάτα (aubergine salad/purée/dip), you can order a glass of ouzo as apéritif, very good pork souvlaki, different greek dishes such as mousaka or goat in casserole (though not everyday, a part of their menu are dishes that may not be avalaible everyday) and a huge variety of tasty fish eg. sword fish. Also seftaliá is a good dish you can't get in other Loutranian tavernas I think. The waiters are very nice too and the service is quick.

After the meal you can order yourself a freddo but no need for additional desserts as they will treat you with some raki (or rather τσικουδιά;) as digestif and some sweets (like loukoumades which were really good).

Overall the best place for dinner I'd say, the menu is very broad so you can find something for yourself. Although I'd say that going there at 6 pm is a good idea as lager at 8 pm the place is stuffed with people.

They serve breakfast too. Nothing out of ordinary...

We felt very unwelcomed!

After a long day we just wanted to grab a small snack before taking the ferry back to our car. We went to this place based on the previous reviews as well as the menu. After being greeted nicely the waiter came 5 seconds after we got the menus to take our order. Of course we weren’t ready but then we felt pressured in choosing our order. When he came back he was not happy about our “small” order (two drinks, bread and a mixed dip) that he asked us if we wanted “nothing more”. This was already very rude! When he brought the dip he basically threw it on the table and left without any comment. The dips itself were okay but the atmosphere was already so ruined for us that we left very soon.

Maybe this can be a nice place if you’re served by another waiter or order more food but for us the experience left a very bad...

We were guests at the hotel / restaurant Ilios Loutro for 10 days at the beginning of June 2024 in the low season. We were very satisfied and felt very comfortable. The location is just great for us. Right in the center and yet the place had a quiet and relaxed vibe. Our rating is therefore positive. As is so often the case, standards and expectations differ. The accommodation is simple but functional, clean and tidy. The food and the service (room service / restaurant service) were also great from our point of view and everyone was friendly.
