Blue House Hotel and Restaurant — Restaurant in Municipality of Sfakia

A nice place with a nice view. You may also like to choose it for some literary reasons – the place was referenced in Michal's Ajvaz "Voyage to the South" and the famous Vangelis still is around (I think).

The serve ok calamari and chicken. Pork souvlaki could be better considering what you can get in other tavernas in Loutro. The lamb chops (παϊδακια) are tasty.

They serve you water free of charge after you have ordered which is a good thing, I wish it was a standard everywhere

To summarise this I'd say that it is a good, solid place to eat with a nice view and nice Loutranian tradition. Though it's not necessarilly the best of Loutro

Also if you remember the scene from Ajvaz' book when Vangelis approached Martin and Ajvaz with raki, it still happens but it is the waiter who brings you the raki (aka τσικουδιά I guess) and a piece of cake...

Maybe it was the ambient and our hunger but me and my friend enjoyed the lunch at Blue House a lot.

We spotted the restaurant on our way to the beach as they had delicious-looking trays of baked vegetables, what look like different kinds of gratins on display and fresh fish. We just waited to be hungry enough and got back there.

We ordered stuffed peppers, aubergine salad (I would call it a dip though) grilled sardines and fish of the day. We got some bread with olive oil that was fantastic! All dishes were delicious and with "homemade" feeling to them. It was the perfect meal with good service and amazing surroundings of...

We love this place so much and have been back and will continue to come back. After trying several restaurants, I can say that this is the best food in Loutro and the only place I will eat again. The homemade food is so good and I wish we lived closer so I could eat here every day. The service and kindness of everyone we encountered is above par. The room is comfortable, the mattress is comfortable, the AC works great, the view is amazing and includes a beautiful sunrise from the balcony. Loutro is my new favorite Greek village and The Blue House is the only place I ever want to stay or eat at...
