Maybe it was the ambient and our hunger but me and my friend enjoyed the lunch at Blue House a lot. We spotted the restaurant on our way to the beach as they had delicious-looking trays of baked vegetables, what look like different kinds of gratins on display and fresh fish. We just waited to be hungry enough and got back there. We ordered stuffed peppers, aubergine salad (I would call it a dip though) grilled sardines and fish of the day. We got some bread with olive oil that was fantastic! All dishes were delicious and with "homemade" feeling to them. It was the perfect meal with good service and amazing surroundings of clear blue water.

Texture of goat was soft but way too salty n not palatable unless you add some vinegar. Small bones everywhere n almost broke my teeth. Goat hairs in the dish. Bureki was bland n lacks flavor. Lady's fingers n egg plant were very average n a little salty. We had way better food in any part of Crete than this place. They have an outstanding view and next to the water and that might explain its popularity. We were hungry after our 3 hours hike and yet we could not enjoy this meal. 10 days in Crete and this is the least enjoyable meal.

We couldn’t get a table in one of the restaurants we chose and ended up here. We were welcomed and shown various dishes and chose the grilled sea bream, mountain greens, lentil salad, aubergine salad, pepper staffed with cheese and white wine:) We ended up having amazing meal ordering extra food and wine and sitting by the sea all the time. This place was a pleasant surprise and lovely dinner spot:)

This is a highly recommended restaurant in a wonderful setting with friendly service. They serve honest and tasty home cooked food at regular prices. Loutro generally seems a little bit dearer than other places in the region. Definitely try the tender octopus with spinach and the snails. Their house white is cheap and quaffable. Great place

I stayed in Loutro for 6 days and even though I tried other restaurants; this is the one my family and I would return to every day. The staff and owner are wonderful and very caring. The food is the best quality here and the prices are very generous. I will return back to here to Loutro just to eat the feta aubergine here again, thank you!

We ate here several times during our stay in Loutro, for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. the food was always delicious and the service was great (very friendly and helpful). The seafood is fantastic, fresh, and well done. The Sfakian pie is the best around for breakfast. We can’t wait to go back (someday).
