Akroyiali Beach Bar — Restaurant in Municipality of Sfakia

Not a particularly warm initial welcome. Lots of items from a quite limited menu not available - in itself maybe not so unusual in Greece. Enquired about the calamari whether it came with anything - normally would expect a few fries and a bit of salad - but no not in this case - it came on its own so ordered a separate portion of fries. Very small portion of calamari for 10 euros and likewise even tinier portion of fries.... which were cold - and I mean really cold - disgusting. Complained and for some reason they seemed surprised - difficult to understand why as it was patently obvious they hadn't been near a fryer for the previous hour or so. Anyway, eventually (after the calamari had already been consumed) a replacement little wire basket of chips appeared, with even fewer than the first time. Though thus time they had managed to get some heat into them, they weren't cooked through - still hard in the middle. Just how difficult can it be to make a half reasonable job of something as simple as calamari and fries? Shan't be bothering here again and would recommend anyone...

Without a doubt the worst experience of the holidays. extremely rude behavior from the staff. First, a customer complained that they put chicken instead of lamb, the reaction of the staff was to ridicule the customer assuring that he is not right and urging the rest of the customers to try the dish to verify it. all this shouting. the serious thing came shortly after. The staff, taking command of a table, suddenly begins to yell and insult the customers, throwing several glass cups that break with the structure of the restaurant, the pieces jumping towards the rest of the customers. other workers had to go to stop him and calm him...

What a pity to see such a beautiful place as Loutro being destroyed on the altar of profit. Every single place in Loutro, that a person could possibly lay down, is being covered with beach beds, and not only in Akroyiali beach bar. Every single bed and umbrellas are next to each other, so there is literally no space to even sit, and on top of that they charge 10€ regardless if you have ordered. In some years probably we will pay for the air...
