Hotel Petali Village — Hotel in Municipality of Sifnos

Upon arrival at port, we were greeted by George from Hotel Petali who assisted with luggage and drove us to the hotel. We chose the basic room. The hotel itself is beautiful grounds with pool and lovely buffet breakfast each morning. Location is excellent if you want to experience living in a village just outside the bustling Appollonia. Convenient to walk to Appollonia and access trails to other locations on island. Shops, restaurants and Main bus stops to anywhere just a short 10 minute or less walk however, please note there are steps and hotel is located a slight incline from “town”. We’re active in our 50’s, who walk daily and we did get a little winded. Good to walk off all the wonderful food you will be enjoying. Small but good place to sleep and basic amenities. There is a fridge for convenience and keeping cold beverages. A very small shower. Very small. If you have a sense of adventure it is quite fun to determine how to shower in such a small space. For reference, husband is 6’2” and this was humorous. Overall it was a lovely experience. The staff is accommodating to needs. The hotel itself quiet and relaxing. This hotel is literally perfect! A stunning location and the warmest, kindest most wonderful staff you will ever meet! Diogo, Aristea, Alexandra, Zisis and Alex will take such good care you that you will never want to leave! I will ever be able to say enough kind things about the beautiful people at this hotel. They honestly made my holiday even better than I could have ever anticipated.||The stunning views from the hotel stretch all the way from Appolonia to Kastro and up to Artemonas. A walking path connects directly from the hotel to both Appolonia and Artemonas and it is a beautiful walk. ||The rooms are so comfortable and all the amenities are terrific! Anything you need, the incredible staff are only too happy to make sure you are enjoying every moment of your stay. ||And the hotel breakfast is 5 star. Absolutely fantastic place. Would recommend this hotel 1000 %. From the minute we were picked up at the port to the minute we were dropped off at the port, we were well and truly looked after. They meet you at the entrance and welcome you with open arms. We stayed in Room 19, brilliant view, private balcony just perfect. Breakfast was delicious and you were spoilt for choice. The staff were so helpful, arranging massages (which I must recommend, she was fantastic and well worth it, set me up nicely for a week of hiking and cycling), providing restaurant recommendations, arranging car hire and were always on hand to answer any questions. We got word that our ferry may be cancelled due to the very high winds but they contacted the ferry company for us direct and put our minds at ease.
