The road to Neos Marmaras was shorter like now in September... I don't know why... maybe because I miss Greece as always... Areti It's a hotel I've been to before in 2019. And then it was ok, only now it seemed much better than then. The pluses have multiplied, the quality of services as well. The location remains, from my point of view, one of the best in Neos Marmaras. All rooms have full sea view. The garden into the front of the hotel seemed like a... manicure. The lawn is mowed, clean, and very airy. The bar in the courtyard of the hotel is just as discreet and with many liquid "goodies"...||||Returning to other pluses of the hotel, taking into account what I heard that happens in different places in Greece (license plates taken by the police, burglaries of rooms and cars, lack of parking spaces, etc.) at Areti you have free and covered parking!!! (exactly behind the hotel), free wifi with a strong signal even on the beach, large and even functional refrigerator, smart TV with access to Netflix, Youtube, etc. even some Romanian channels, generous balcony.||||The fact that from the fence of the property to the beach is only 5 meters... for me it meant a lot... Especially during the day when the sun seems to look at you with a magnifying glass, it's wonderful. Moreover, free and enough sunbeds for each room complete the image of the hotel.||||The room. Big. Well equipped, with everything you need and what you would need. A small kitchenette completes the furniture of the room. The bed is large and comfortable. The smart TV and the balcony are elements that you can enjoy when you want to stay in the room during the day or in the evening. Do I need to say more about the sunset that you can see completely from the balcony? Yes, I say it's worth it and it's just as beautiful every night.||||The hotel only offers breakfast. It's a typical Greek, Mediterranean breakfast... not extremely rich but definitely filling. To be honest, if I ate at home every day what I ate there, I would probably be fatter or healthier. At home, coffee takes the place of breakfast about 300 days a year... so... damn. The pandemic made them take countless preventive measures, it being possible to serve meals both in the reception area and in the room or in the courtyard/garden of the hotel.||||The beach and the sea. The beach is located in front of the hotel, exactly 5 meters from the hotel or 1 minute from the time you leave the room and until you can put your foot in the sand. It is a hotel by the sea without any tagada, and I hope the pictures reconfirm it. Fortunately, the beach is sandy (larger), not the kind where you need slippers, but more like giving you a massage.||||So..yes.. I definetelly recomaned...
Read moreThe hotel itself is not located in Neos Marmaras, it is located in an small village 1-2 km away, in Poseidon, if you try to reach Neos Marmaras by foot you have to climb an steep hill to get to Neos Marmaras, luckily we used the car to reach Neos Marmaras.||We parked the car on a steep street in Neos Marmaras, we did not see any parking spaces available in the small city centre.||This small village where the hotel is located I would recommend it for families travelling with children or people who want to enjoy an more relaxed atmosphere, if you are party peoples and want to listen music on the beach all day long, maybe practice some water sports during the day this is not the location for you. Except some restaurants and a couple of hotels & private houses there is nothing else on the beach.||||Going back to the hotel, we were welcomed with the famous Greek hospitality by Toula & Dimitra, two of the staff members, which explained to us the house rules.||We rented an triple room (1 huge king size bed + 1 extra smaller one). ||English level is very good, the staff was very helpful with each of our demands.||||Pro:||- room was big;||- big balcony facing the sea;||- hotel close to the beach, the beach is not with sand, it is with small stones||- you could have breakfast in the room on the balcony, only condition to return the dishes to the dining area;||- daily change of towels;||- free use of sunbeds & umbrellas for the hotel guests;||- we could pay with card the accommodation, this is new for us, each time we spent holidays in Greece, we have been asked to pay with cash at the reception, not all the time we received also an invoice ... but at this location we paid everything with the credit card, so thumbs up !!!||||Cons:||- the towels did not smell to good, they were clean but after you used them they had an funny smell; but we were not going to let this ruin our vacation, after each time we used them, we hand them outside on the balcony to dry;||- the mattress was very hard, at home we are using memory mattress which is more soft;||- there is an open bar in front of the hotel where each evening people sat until 23.30 up to 24, an as you can imagine the noise level can be disturbing, but people were on holiday there is nothing you can do about this;||- I think that bathrooms could be up-dated, dont get me wrong they were clean but kind of outdated, or maybe I am too pretentios ...||||Overall, we had a nice stay at the location, in the evening we could dine at local restaurants, 100-200 m away from the hotel so there was no need to travel with the car to other cities to...
Read moreThis was our 2nd time staying at this lovely hotel. The first visit was two years ago when we came with our small baby, and we were so happy with the experience, especially the facilities and the friendly staff(thank you Dimitra and Toula) that we decided to return. What we really appreciate about this place is the visible effort the owners put into continuously improving the hotel. You can clearly see the results in the recently renovated rooms, which are modern and comfortable. The courtyard is cleaned every morning, and the rooms are well maintained too. Towels were replenished every two days and bed linens every three. The breakfast is decent, not extraordinary but there’s something for everyone, and the best part is that you can bring it back to your room and enjoy it on the balcony. There’s a spacious garden in front of the hotel where kids can play freely, which we found really convenient. The beach in front of the hotel is small, but the water was clean, warm and calm during our stay in the last two weeks of August. We also like the ground floor rooms because they offer direct access to the garden, making it very practical for families with young children. That said, we did notice a few small things that didn’t affect our overall impression too much, but could be helpful suggestions for improvement: *There were no hooks in the bathroom, which made it a bit inconvenient for hanging towels or clothes. *Storage space in the bathroom was limited, especially for toiletries. *The room we stayed in this time was smaller than the one we had two years ago, but we weren’t informed about the size difference when making the reservation. Although the room was newly renovated, it didn’t have a sink in the kitchenette, which was a bit unexpected. *There was some noise from the hotel bar in the late hours. For the price we paid, we hoped for a bit more peace at night. There were even children’s birthday parties with loud music and microphones, which went on into the evening. *The cleaning service sometimes came during our child’s afternoon nap(after 1pm), which was a bit disruptive. Despite these minor points, we truly enjoyed our stay and appreciated the warm atmosphere and family-friendly environment. With a few small adjustments, this hotel could be even better. We’d still recommend it and would happily come back...
