Hotel Bara — Hotel in Municipality of Sithonia

We visited the hotel with a 3 year old child.||||Hotel is suited on a beach, but in a very calm surroundings. The narrow street between the hotel and the beach has low traffic.||||Hotel has it's own deckchairs and sunshades on the beach, which are free to use for hotel guests. ||||Room was excellent with a fridge (no kitchen) and a safe deposit box. It was cleaned and sheets were changed on a daily basis. Most of the rooms in the hotel actally have a sea view.||||The breakfast is simple but totally sufficient with several different dishes available. For lunch and dinner there are several restaurants on the Paradisos strip.||||Otherwise, Neos Marmaras is 30min away by foot, or 15min by tourist train. (The train leaves 20m from the hotel, each hour starting from 18h)||||The owners of the hotel and the staff were open, frendly and willing to help us on any special request. They even gave us some tips when we wanted to visit the surroundings.||||||All in all, I would definetly recommend the hotel for anyone looking for a quiet place for vacation.||||The only downside is the lack of night life in the Paradisos. This was my second visit to his hotel and I could not recommend it highly enough. It is a small hotel and the owners are very hospitable and accommodating. Great setting - only a few strides to the beach. The hotel pool is well maintained and set in a pretty small garden. The bar offers drinks throughout the day ( a little pricey). Lots of tavernas and bars within easy walking distance - the main town is only a 20 minute stroll away.The rooms are fairly standard, but you don't spend a lot of time in your room - very clean with everything you need.Most of the rooms have a balcony which looks out onto the sea - wonderful sunsets. There is a wide choice at breakfast which can be eaten outside. It is an excellent base for holidays in this area. It would not suit holiday makers looking for activities and entertainment in the hotel but if you want a relaxing holiday it is ideal. I would...

Situated in Paradisos Beach, which is a 30 min walk or 15 min mini train ride, from Neo Maramaris, so it is a lot quieter than Neo, which may not hopefully interest most people! there are 6 or so very reasonable restaurants along the mile long narrow strip. The hotel is a little dated, but the prices reflect this, however the owners are very helpful, the staff a little too laid back, the bar is a bit on the pricey side, but the position overlooking the beach and nice seating make up for this. We had a problem with our shower head which took a few dats to sort out, but at least it got sorted! The breakfast looked good, hot water can be arranged , as there are no facilities in the rooms. Fridge was a good size, so was all that we needed. Going back again this year , which is something we never do, but couldn't find anything better...
