Petra Nova Villas — Hotel in Municipality of Sitia

We didn't like it here and were very disappointed with what we found, so we decided to leave this place the same day we arrived.

In our opinion, it doesn't fit the advertised description. First of all, make sure that you choose the totally overpriced villa with a "private pool" if you want one. Unfortunately, we did not see the different villa types because the choice options are misleading. When we arrived, Eleni showed us the option with the pool, but it really wasn't worth the price as the pool is tiny.

But also, the rest of the experience was terrible.

The "villa" is more like a small block that lacked natural light due to the small windows. The indoor spaces "on different levels" felt cramped and not cozy, and the terrace had significant noise from the electrical system and lacked pleasant greenery. A busy road was just next to the terrace with the tiny pool. Additionally, the access road to the houses had construction debris scattered around.

In summary, the reality of the property did not match the impression given by the listing.

We were genuinely shocked by the discrepancy between the prices, the pictures, and the actual condition of the property and its atmosphere.

Initially, we tried to address the situation because we were seeking a peaceful and enjoyable holiday without stress. However, we quickly realized that it was better to leave than to stay and be unhappy for three nights.

Eleni wasn't helpful regarding our disappointment and tried to prevent us from leaving a comment on her property and did not want to negotiate at all...

If you are looking for a heavenly place to recharge your batteries, then Petra Nova is the place for you.|A warm welcome and a very beautiful and tastefully decorated villa with stunning views of the sea , the village of Mochlos and the valley. |Comfort, beauty and cleanliness are everywhere here, inside and outside, from the terrace and it’s beautiful plants, trees, flowers, sun beds, table and chairs facing the wonderful view of the sea, to the inside of the villa, well designed over 3 levels ( but not too many stairs to climb). Each room is Modern , immaculate and well equipped, very comfortable bed with beautiful linens, a spacious modern bathroom with a lovely big walk in shower, and high quality toiletries, and fluffy towels.|The kitchen too is very well equipped, and Eleni has even generously provided a gift basket with local family products , honey, Raki, fruits, olive oil etc..|Plus there is coffee and tea, water, & other basic things, ( that often are missing in a rented property, for example, salt, pepper, herbs, vinegar). |The living room is very pretty too, equipped with a TV, a lovely sofa with plenty of colourful cushions, a big cupboard etc , it opens to a terrace.|There is even a washing machine in the property..|Every detail was well thought of and the villa was decorated and entirely built by Eleni’s family. |From the minute you step into Petra Nova, you feel the love and care that went into this place, and you immediately feel well...

We had the nicest stay as a family of three in Villa Rodapetra. The facility is super clean & spacious and the view is breathtaking. You can sit outside during every time of the day, as there is always shadow somewhere (we travelled in July). Eleni and her family took the best care of us and were a great help when my husband fell sick during our stay. Thank you again so much! The Villas are suited at the hill above Mochlos, so if you want to visit the village you have to walk approximately 15 minutes. The way back is pretty steep, so a daily workout is guaranteed :) We loved our stay very much, thanks again to Eleni...
