Iâm surprised that this is even advertised as a TUI Hotel to be completely honest with you. Upon arrival we got offered free shots even though we had a very long day of travelling which I know some people would be grateful of but we werenât - would rather be offered water. In addition to that, we were also greeted by people on the conplex just doing balloons everywhere as if itâs just normal. ||||We had to pay 25 euro for the safe (I definitely recommend getting this, although it is not a PIN number it is just a key..) and then an extra 14 euro for room tax per room for the week and then a final 60 euro for the aircon per room. This was a huge wedge of our money gone out of spends as soon as we got there which we were expecting anyway as I had messaged them on whatsapp asking some questions which they were very blunt at answering. ||||The location of the âhotelâ is a good location as it isnât totally right on the strip- boss man next door to the hotel is great in the shop which has everything you need. If youâve never come to Greece just make sure you bring enough sun cream as it gets up to 30 euro a bottle if you run out!||||In addition to that make sure to bring mosquito repellent as both my friends have gotten bitten so many times even with the doors shut ect so just keep that in mind.||||The staff are ok, the pool is slightly deep just over 6tf in height and it isnât heated but during the hot months it does get warm. There isnât much shade around the pool other than a couple of parasols and the tables you eat at. ||||Youâre not able to bring your own food from your room down to the pool area but around the pool in the terrace rooms people are able to do balloons âNO2â which you can hear all night long. Food and drink at the bar are expensive. â24 hour pizzaâ is just a total lie they run out of pizza for a couple of days and just sometimes can not be bothered to clean the kitchen and make excuses up not to make customers food.||||The rooms are dark and dingey unfortunately. The bathroom had an ant infestation trying to get the tissues in the bin, the shower doesnât hold up turns cold a lot and have to climb over the toilet to get into the shower which floods constantly. Beds are uncomfy, fall apart when you move them I will insert a photograph. Although the aircon was totally worth it ||||My friend was in the other complex across the road which he claimed to hear everybodyâs voice after long nights out coming in drunk. The door didnât lock properly, the tv didnât work , pillows are rock hard, toilet doesnât flush properly. He barely slept at all because of the echoing sounds in the building every single night. He would probably rate this 2/10. ||||The beach is a dump. Stinks of sewage and the dock you cant even walk on because itâs so unsteady. You have to pay at least 10⏠for a sunbed on the beach so bare that in mind.||||The reps around the strip are very annoying, called young girls nasty namesâ ect for not wanting to go into their bar. Wouldnât waste money on party hard because they get dates mixed up so donât even bother - not sure about the scene pass though - Mojo is the best bar without begging with good deals and a good dj. Pulse is great the girls outside are class! ||||I came with my two friends who are lads and I felt safe with them but if I was with my girl mates I would not come. I would not feel safe at all so I wouldnât even consider this an option to be honest.||||Unfortunately the ill cats made me sad, I wish I could do more to help but everybody was buying them food and water which was really sweet and kind. ||||Sizzlers across the road is a great restraunt thatâs affordable and are just lovely men. ||||Aqua land and Sivota boat trips are two great activities to do which you can book through TUI which are more expensive but book...
Read moreI hate being so negative on reviews⌠I only ever would when necessary⌠although we really enjoyed our holiday, the people we met, and the pool / breakfast at this accommodation, itâs not somewhere Iâd recommend. (There was an older couple who we met that left after 2 days, because they couldnât handle it). As young adults we couldnât handle this accommodation environment, never mind an older couple, it couldnât have been safe for them surely âŚ)
Firstly the rooms, not what I expected from the images provided or even the ones I seen from people in the reviews - not sure whether they thought to give us one of the worst so we didnât wreck it. (However we werenât even down in Kavos for the party life - we stayed here in October when the season was ending and stayed at the bottom so we had a chance of hiring things for a cheaper rate and using that as an advantage to travel around the island).
Continuing on⌠The cupboards were nailed shut, the appliances didnât work. We even had to buy our own toilet rolls.
There was awful smells coming from inside the toilets, shower, and outside our room where cleaning stuff would be dumped.
The shower barely had hot water, barely worked, and didnât have a shower head holder. Such a pain to keep turning it on and off (everytime you wanted to wash yourself or your hair, you had no one to put it).
We also kept all our clothes in the suitcases as there was only one small rail with 3 hangers to hang your clothes up. However a dozen ants around the floor boards too.
The aircon was âŹ10-âŹ20 per day. So we decided not to, as we were there for almost 2 weeks lol and it was like a sauna even with the doors open! Outside was cool, but inside felt like it had heating on!
Everything was worn down and old. There are notices on the walls to say, if you put towels down on the floor you have to pay if they get dirty⌠however there is no shower / wet mats, nothing⌠so when it came to having a shower and everywhere got wet, it just became dangerous to walk around, and we were too afraid of putting the towels down as the floors were dirty anyway. No one came to clean our room whilst we stayed here.
On our last night - we double checked to see what time check out was at the pool bar and they said 12:00 midday.
At 10:30am we were having breakfast, and the cleaner had come to speak to the staff and say we needed to check out (11:10am). The staff came over, told us we have to stop eating now, and leave. The cleaner followed us back, kept the door wide open, sat in the chair outside our door, watched us pack, put everything away while trying to begin cleaning around us (like there was enough room anyway đ).
I eventually closed the door as she left for a moment, the intimidation was driving me mad - so I was having to keep the key in the door so I could clean my feet before putting my shoes on etc.
I could hear her trying to unlock our door, and knocking our window to the bathroom and saying ânoâ to us as we were showering our feet down. Once we opened the door - she was waving us out in a hurry that I hadnât even had shoes on at this point.
I spoken with the receptionist after we checked out (I recorded the interaction because I was just so irritated at this point). No remorse, no validation, no respect at all.
The staff, the accommodation, and cleanliness just arenât even worth a 1 star. Iâm sorry. Imagine paying 1k+ for this type of holiday.
I wrote this review on the wrong apartments originally so...
Read moreArrived at this Hotel (if you can call it that!) and to be honest Iâm gob smacked that this is even sold by TUI! This place falls far below anything I have ever seen on TUI before. ||On arrival we were told by the driver to get off the bus into the middle of the road. We entered a check in area which was adjacent to the room buildings, which stunk of cigarettes. To be told that for our 4 night stay we had to pay 35 euros for air conditioning, 10euros for the safe in the room, and 8 euros in taxes. ||The room is 4 walls with an awful hard bed, no ability to sleep well in this. 1 pillow and a sheet, asked for further pillow but initially told no, however these were eventually brought over. The room consisted of a small kitchen area equipped with broken drawer and old counter top oven. We were shown around the room by a lady speaking Greek, she told us how to open the door and turn on the lights before leaving. ||There is no storage in these rooms and the industrial style clothing rail they provided was broken and came with 4 hangers, one chair in the room which is broken, donât sit on this you may fall through. ||The bathroom next, is equipped with a shower which in fairness is okay, once you have stepped over the toilet to get in it. ||This is advertised as a apartment, more like a custodial cell which is designed to house those that are 18 going out drinking and returning with a significant amount of drugs and alcohol in their system to the point they donât know what theyâre staying in.||The air conditioning is leaking water to the back of the box room which is constant due to the need for the air conditioning. ||Overall this is a poor hotel with poor maintenance poor standards, and the basic of the basic...
