Unfortunately me and my friends didn’t have a great experience with this hotel. Mainly, the cleaners literally didn’t do their jobs, we stayed for a week and didn’t have our bed sheets changed once, didn’t have our floors swept/mopped once and only received new towels on our 5th day and had to ask for more toilet roll whenever we ran out. The bathroom is awful, dirty and gets absolutely soaking wet as there is no shower curtain. On arrival, our room clearly hadn’t been cleaned properly and there was even out of date yoghurt in the dirty fridge. There was a few days where we didn’t have hot water coming out of our shower and there wasn’t even a holder for the shower head. We didn’t have any WiFi for our first 3 nights so we’ve had to pay extra on our phone bills even though the hotel advertised free WiFi which just wasn’t working majority of our stay and when it was repaired it didn’t even reach our hotel room. ||We had read on booking.com that they can arrange a taxi for you to the airport, however the first 2 times we asked for this service we were just told to Google a taxi service and phone ourselves, it wasn’t until we asked the manager who was happy to phone book us the taxi. We were then absolutely shocked to be told that the cleaners wanted to charge us as apparently 2 of the beds had stains on the sheets which they “couldn’t get out in the wash”, but not once did a cleaner strip our beds and even attempt to clean them, so we paid for new sheets to avoid trouble, just because a cleaner assumed there was stains that wouldn’t come out (it was barely stained and the stains were make up and moisturiser which has no problem coming out in the wash, there was some dirt/dust etc in the beds but that was because we didn’t have our floors swept or cleaned once). ||They also said that guests are expected to leave the hotel room exactly how it is found or you are charged for cleaning, when they had cleaners who were supposed to be going over every room daily! We were even requested to clean our own bed sheets. We thought this was all very cheeky when cleaners didn’t even attempt to do basic cleaning services our entire stay which is the bare minimum that you expect from a hotel, and we were already frustrated that we had to buy our own towels at the shop as they weren’t providing new ones and had an extra phone charge due to their lack of WiFi. I would understand the charge and being asked to clean up if guests made an unreasonable mess or caused damage but that wasn’t the case with us at all, and from reading other reviews I can see we aren’t the first to experience this.||They also advertise that they have a bar and a restaurant. But they do not have any food or drink, not even water, available to buy at the hotel. ||Pros of the hotel is the location is great and feels safe, the pool area is fine and the balcony/terraces are fine. Staff were reasonably friendly. I believe Lemon Grove would possibly benefit from changing their title to a hostel instead of a hotel, as there is essentially no cleaning services, very little reception services and being expected to clean your own hotel room during a week stay is unheard of for a hotel and quite...
Read moreHaving read other reviews I hope this helps. First time staying in Kavos, having regular holidays to Corfu, couldn't get into where we normally stop but this holiday fit what we needed. We stayed 5 nights, on arrival paid €120 total for two rooms, room tax, air conditioning and safety deposit box. People were friendly and welcoming, nothing too much trouble, always checked you were ok when passing by. |Complex Lemon Grove is a wonderful 2* Greek room only complex, spotlessly clean, the rooms were next to each other, both had 3 single beds, fridge freezer, crockery, utensils, kitchen sink & kettle. Enough to make continental breakfast/light lunches. The beds are not Premier Inn standard, they were comfortable and we all slept well. Lovely little terrace/balcony to sit out on with the promised side sea view, the bathrooms had shower basin, HAND HELD shower, (the trick is to hold the shower to spray towards the wall 😉 toilet rolls were supplied. The pool is a good size, clean, plenty of sunloungers and large umbrellas giving shading if wanted, fenced off to the sea with watersports, short walk up to the beach to bars/restaurants, cocktails🍸 Ideally situated for us as it was lovely and quiet, short walk into the centre for all the bars restaurants etc.. did have a bit of noise from new young arrivals but once informed they were being inconsiderate didn't hear a peep. Across the road you get a spot on full English, proper butchers back bacon..😋 pop next door discount supermarket we picked up everything we needed there, they are lovely & helpful too, when my son was not feeling well with his throat brought what I could there & they offered to go to pharmacy if he needed anything more which is 5km away! A 10 min walk to the bakery for fresh croissants, spinach & feta pies, doughnuts etc. We always use Easybook Travel for sunset cruises to Blue Lagoon & Sivota, the Paxos & Antipaxos & Caves boat trips, Corfu by day or night, quad safari. |Lemon Grove was perfect for what we wanted. |Kavos was too busy for me personally even though it's quieter than main Summer, otherwise I would definitely return to Complex Lemon Grove.|Thank you for a...

Though the hotel is directly at the water, the beach is off limits in front of the hotel. It is gated off and if you don’t have a car to check out other parts of the island, you’ll have to walk quite a bit to get to the closest free sandy beach.
Almost everything comes at an extra cost at the hotel, including the pool, sunbeds, billiard table, and most importantly — the AC, which they charge an alarming 7-10 euros a night for (depending on which staff member you ask). The room we had was not equipped with nets, so it was mosquito city.
The “kitchen” they talk about is a small counter with a sink, fridge and a 2 part electric stove that could hardly bring water to a boil. They don’t provide sponges, kitchen towels, or soap. Other equipment was there—like cutlery and pots. But we only had one butter knife to do any “cooking” — which you can imagine is quite difficult.
If you’re looking to work from this hotel, you can’t rely on the WiFi. I am a digital nomad and had to use my hotspot for the entire 10 day stay.
Kavos itself attracts groups of teenagers looking to party. So if you’re going on a family or couples trip, this area is likely not for you.
We arrived at the end of May and were the only guests at the time (in a hotel that has many rooms—which says a lot I guess). The pool was closed for the first few days of our trip. The pool bar and restaurant were both closed during our entire stay.
What we did get: a great view, cleaning service every 2-3 days, toilet paper, towels, and free parking. But that’s about it for the list of positives.
This is really just a cheap place to rest your head. If you’re happy to pay extra for all the other services and facilities as well as get yourself a car, you should be fine. But I wouldn’t recommend it. There are hundreds of other hotels in Corfu where you’ll be treated like a person and where hidden costs won’t be...
