Paralia Kavos — Attraction in Municipality of Southern Corfu

Simply gross! Thank god we're only here for two days. Beach is disgusting, full of rubbish (felt sorry for the kids that were playing amongst it), the water merky, plenty of seaweed, shallow and what I would imagine a dirty luke warm bath to feel like. 😕 Had to have a full body scrub as soon as we got back to the apartment. This town is tourist central on steroids l . It's a total wasteland of cheap tourist bars, hotels, and knicky knack tourist stores. No soul--just the tourist Euro. Ugly beaches loaded with stinky seaweed and eel grass rotting in the hot Corfu sun. I could not wait to leave and feel blessed I never had the displeasure of staying there. The entire resort is not recommended. Poor infrastructure, overpriced minimarkets, and a neglected beach. It would be better if tour operators removed accommodations from their programs. Nature is taking over the beach. Weeds are growing everywhere, and it's littered with trash. The beach is clayey, with a few sandy patches between the weeds and trash.
