Nuovo 1800 — Restaurant in Municipality of Spetses

While visiting the island for a wedding, we decided to go the night before the wedding for some drinks. A party of almost 20 fun people along with the bride and the groom. We had 6 bottles of alcohol for which they even charged us the colas and the mixers, which by the way were not even premium mixers just plastic bottles out of a super market. The pricing of the bottle service was out this world, they even charged a simple tangueray bottle as a premium one 😂 we could never find a waiter available to serve us and we had to go to the bar ourselves 😔 even the bride had to go and bring ice. After a while they didn’t even have more ice available nor glasses. Clowns! By the time we wanted to go and asked for the bill they decided to charge us 4 extra bottles of premium alcohol and all the mixers even the colas. After discussing with the owner, who wanted to make us feel like we were drunk and didn’t know what we had he was very reluctant of cutting the extra bottles as if he was doing us a favor. Not needed to mention that we never had a proper receipt. In conclusion it doesn’t matter the amount of money you have, no one has the right to rob you off like that. Ridiculous ! Went there for a pre wedding gathering. We were a very nice fun group. Had 6 bottles between almost 20 of us that were priced 100€ for simple, 120€ for special and 150€ for premium. When paying the owner requested 1500€ claiming we had 10 bottles. Then changed his mind to 1200€ and said that he charged the mixers. Bear in mind the staff were only 2 people running around and we got no ice or any service. The bride had to tell him off and ask for the prices etc. till we then understood he was just lying. Avoid this place like the plague. I mean that figuratively and literally. We should have walked out when they brought out the water glasses that were filthy. We ordered 2 drinks which were terrible probably using counterfeit alcohol (bomba). When we went to pay he claimed the POS wasn’t working and I had to pay in cash. He then proceeded to put the change on the table and withheld the 20 euro note in his hand and walked away. When I called him back he smiled and said oh yeah the 20 and handed it over.
