This was one of those wonderful moments when, having travelled to a destination for the first time, one looks around at their accommodation and says to their partner "Well, we really nailed this one." It's perched on a bluff overlooking the Aegean and the town's swimming area - accessible down several steps directly from the gate of Floris Manor. The perspective from the base of those stairs is the perspective that fronts almost every Syros travel article and website. It's only recently opened and the considerable investment made by the owners in the project is fully manifest. High quality doors and windows, skilled masonry, tasteful fittings, furnishings and linens. The style is Expensive Greek Simplicity. And the owner - Flora - is attuned to one's every need. We stayed here from August 16th to 19th. First, I'd like to mention our hostess, Flora. She was incredibly friendly, warm, and helpful. Since it was our first time on the island, we asked her many questions, and she patiently answered them all. She even helped us with transportation. Of course, this kind personality was reflected in the room. We were greeted with truly fine wine and delicious desserts. Everything in the room was spotlessly clean and meticulously maintained. The view is breathtaking, and the sea is right in front of your room. It's a lively spot from morning until evening. There's no need to go anywhere else. Absolutely speechless about this accommodation, the sea views and the owner’s warm hospitality! The rooms are amazing and immaculate, new and pristine, with some personal touches. The towels and bedding smelled divine, which is rare these days. The bed was huge and very comfortable, and waking up to the wonderful sea every day was priceless. Flora, the owner, truly went above and beyond to provide the best experience whilst visiting. The location is very central, close to the marina and the port (10-15 mins walk).
