BE AWARE OF A SCAM!

We booked a Mill Villa a few days before we left for Santorini. I messaged the owner/ manager several times to try to organise the airport transfer & say hello: on emails, via ebookers, on 2 different mobile numbers and had no responses at all. Once we got to the airport, we called the owner several times. Finally he picked up and said our villa was not available. Instead, the taxi driver dropped us off at a different hotel - owned by the same person. We were told we should be happy because the hotel is more expensive than the villa. We got scammed in the worst possible way.

First of all, we spent a lot of time researching where to stay in Santorini & wanted the villa - it was a villa and had a good size private pool. We looked at the hotel they put us in when researching hotels (CSky) and we didn't like it at all, therefore we didn't book it (it was never an option).

Had they told us that the villa was not available, we would have cancelled our reservation & book another place, but they didn't. Upon arrival they put us in in a room with a jacuzzi - which we did not like at all. The room was dated, dark and the jacuzzi was just old and awful. Plus we paid for a villa with a decent size private pool - not a room with jacuzzi. The jacuzzi broke down that same night and we had no energy as everything blew up. The owner fixed the light but not the jacuzzi that night.

The next day they put us up in an executive suite (saying it was the honeymoon suite - but another couple that stayed there actually stayed in the HS and showed it to us) calling it an upgrade (After we complained again & again). Again, this was in no way an upgrade - we paid for a villa with a private pool, instead we were put up in a hotel we did not like in the first place (hence we didn't book it) and were given a sad room with a jacuzzi. We were constantly lied to by the owner and scammed in the worst possible way.

The hotel was everything we could have wanted! Evan was so helpful and made the stay extra special. It’s a good distance from the busy town of thira and the transfer by the hotel is €15 which is cheaper than a regular taxi. The bed is super comfortable and the tv has an option to connect your Netflix and Spotify to. The breakfast is so good! So much food and you get to pick which time you have it, it’s brought to your room and they come and take it away after about 40 minutes.. perfect! We stayed in the infinity suite and it comes with a pool which is really nice. I really recommend this hotel as not only is it amazing but a lot of the hotels in the town are very overlooked and this is definitely more private. Thanks for making our anniversary...

If you are looking for a very peaceful stay on this beautiful island then look no further than Horizon Mills Villas and Suites. Away from the sometimes hemmed-in hotels on the Caldera side of the island, the uninterrupted view of the Aegean Sea from your jacuzzi or infinity pool is fantastic. Evan, the manager, is extremely helpful. The superb breakfast is delivered to your door by him and his team at the time of your choosing. The rooms are brand new and well appointed with all your modern needs including Satellite TV that you can link up to Netflix, etc. There are no shops nearby so you will need a hire car, or to explore the island.
