Really disappointed with the entire experience.
We booked Nobu Santorini around a month in advance for my Mother’s Birthday and our final evening in Santorini. Hoping for a first class dining experience. We mentioned on the booking it was my Mum’s Birthday. We also mentioned my partner who is dining with us is a vegan, with a gluten intolerance and a nut allergy. Me and my partner are huge foodies and have eaten all over the world!
We arrived to a mild welcome, no mention of somebody’s Birthday at all, then we sat down at the table for my partner then to be quizzed and asked what she would like to eat. They basically offered her vegetables and a salad. No protein in the meals at all.
We then declined and asked if they have tofu or quorn or anything like that. The waitress said they struggle getting tofu because it’s a small island and import of these items are difficult. Bare in my mind, the past six days my partner has eaten tofu at around 3-4 different Chinese/Thai restaurants. I found this service horrific, it felt as though you are assuming your guests are dumb & naive.
We then had a thirty minute wait for drinks, and eventually, had to ask again for them again, in which we were told the Ashai beers we ordered, they don’t actually have any. So they just decided to not bring any drinks for the entire table.
I ordered some shrimp tacos for a starter that came as two tiny sized tacos. The size of a car key. Then asked if I wanted to get more cutlery to share them! 😯😂
They then reappeared asking my partner again about her main course. They all of sudden now had tofu and said they would make something for her. Which is nice to be so attentive, however it was all very confusing to one minute have no tofu as they’re a ‘small island’ to now have tofu 😂
We then had our mains which to be fair the beef steak courses were lovely. My dad’s shrimp main course arrived 20 minutes before ours though which we had no warning of meal time differences. And then my partners tofu dish arrived 😂 raw tofu, raw mushrooms and some rice, completely bland and unseasoned. 🙈
Then the worse part was, I was the only person to order dessert, nobody else liked anything on the menu. They then brought the plate over with Happy birthday written on the plate in chocolate, and handed it to my partner saying happy birthday 😂 even though it’s my mother’s birthday.
The plate also had my mango cheesecake on the plate, they then handed it to my mother as it’s actually her birthday. But then said Happy birthday, but it’s not your dessert so you need to hand it over!
I have never seen or heard of somebody receive a plate with a birthday message on it, to then be told you can’t eat it. Surely a cake for her birthday should be a special experience and should be gifted if it’s on the plate of the gesture. 😵💫😵💫
The customer service was basic at best, no where near a fine dining experience for the price of the dishes. They all need SERIOUS training to live up to such a name as NOBU.
If you’re looking for a NOBU experience with the Imerovigli sunset view on the pictures, hire a car or buggy. Hit up a Chinese in Thira, grab a takeout and drive up to the hillside, sit back, save yourself €300 and enjoy! 🥡🌅
There are far better restaurants in Santorini for a fraction of the cost. Pyrgos Restaurant, Kaliya in Thira, Strogili in Oia and Tranquilo in Perissa! To...

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Nobu restaurant in Santorini with my friend for her birthday, and while the culinary journey was a delight for my taste buds, the service left much to be desired.
However, the service aspect of the evening was a letdown. When I expressed my dissatisfaction with a cocktail to our waiter, his reaction was rather perplexing; he shot me an odd look and then proceeded to discuss the situation in my native language with what I can only describe as inappropriate comments at the bar. It was evident that he believed I couldn't understand him, which cast a shadow over the rest of the evening as his behavior remained consistently sour.
Unfortunately, this sour attitude translated into slow and lackluster service throughout the night, detracting from the overall dining experience. To cap off the evening, as we requested the bill, the same waiter approached our table. While it's customary for the waiter to take the check with the payment, his question about whether he needed to return the change seemed rather absurd, leaving us with a bewildered smile.
In conclusion, the culinary at Nobu Santorini shines brightly, but the disappointing service, the unwarranted attitude of the waiter, and the overall lack of hospitality left a bittersweet aftertaste. I would like to add here that the hostess that approach our table few times she was very polite and friendly. I hope that the restaurant addresses these service shortcomings to ensure that patrons can enjoy both cuisine and the high-quality service that should...

Nestled amidst the stunning landscapes of Santorini, offers an unparalleled dining experience that seamlessly blends Japanese and Peruvian flavors. From the moment you step in, you're greeted with warm hospitality and an ambiance that transports you to a realm of culinary delight.
The panoramic view of the Caldera serves as a breathtaking backdrop to an already exceptional dining experience. Whether you're enjoying a romantic dinner for two or celebrating a special occasion with friends and family, the ambiance alone is worth the visit.
Now, let's talk about the food. Each dish is a masterpiece, meticulously crafted with fresh, high-quality ingredients that showcase the fusion of Japanese and Peruvian culinary traditions. My favourite was Yellowtail Sashimi with Jalapeno and Tiradito! From the delicate flavors of sushi to the bold and vibrant ceviche, every bite is a symphony of taste sensations.
The presentation of the dishes is equally impressive, resembling works of art that almost seem too beautiful to eat. But trust me, you'll want to savor every morsel.
The staff is attentive, knowledgeable, and passionate about ensuring your dining experience exceeds expectations.
I’d just say it’s a culinary journey that delights the senses and leaves a lasting impression. Whether you're a food enthusiast, a lover of breathtaking views, or simply seeking an unforgettable dining experience in Santorini, this restaurant is an absolute must-visit. Five stars doesn't begin to capture the excellence of...
