Ikies Filoxenia Santorini — Hotel in Municipality of Thira

The apartments were very clean and homey. We stayed in the Morpheas apartment, which had a king bed, sofa bed, spacious living room, decent sized bathroom, and small outdoor patio. It's the first apartment on the ground level - no stairs, but also no view. Great for families or couples. The rooms are cleaned daily by Maria, who is so kind and sweet. Joyce, the manager, was super nice and helpful from arranging transportation, restaurant recommendations, etc. Very easy to get a hold of through iMessage at all hours of the day. It's located about a 15-minute walk from Fira town and close to a number of restaurants, bakeries, grocery stores, and ATMs. If you're sick of Greek food, Jaipur Palace is a great North Indian restaurant (lots of Indian locals there) that Joyce recommended - delicious! We stayed 6 nights at Ikies Filoxenia and I can't say enough good things about this little hotel. The rooms were beautiful and clean. Joyce, the manager was very helpful and really went above and beyond, providing excellent services. The location is perfect as it is walking distance from Thera (Fira) which is a beautiful little town overlooking the sea packed with shops and restaurants. You can also take a public bus from Thera for only 2 Euro to any of the other towns on the island. For the more adventurous there are car rental places within walking distance and of course taxis. (Personally I felt it was part of the experience to take the local bus.) ||||I can't wait to return to Santorini and I wouldn't want to stay...

To begin with the people running the rooms are lovely, very polite and willing to help us anytime. They also informed us about th island attractions the moment we arrived which was very helpful for us. The room was also great for a couple. It had any luxury anyone needs and was extremely clean. The decoration was beautiful, simple and as relaxing as it should be in an island like that. Last but not least, the location was great, at the middle of the Island next to Fira but also far from all the noise. I recommend this place to anyone and i would stay there again when i go back...
