Nikolas Villas Aparthotel — Hotel in Municipality of Thira

Basic apartment, quite far from the airport, as there are no direct road to and from the airport. All bus are going to Fira. Hotel is at a five minute walk to the beach, without many people, though there are lots of reasonable places to eat. The owner is kind. It was there at 11 PM (with prior information) to receive us, though its office closes at 9 PM. Clean and comfortable rooms but fully impersonnal. Quite noisy by surrrounding rooms. Great large and clean swimming pool. TV, limited channels. Towels for pool and room. Air conditioning. Plenty of parking.||||Negative : requires a bank transfer before the location. We haven't done it as it was too late to do it, and it was agreed with the help of Booking support to pay in cash at our arrival . No possibility of Visa or AMEX...

The people who welcomed us were very welcoming, I just found it strange that we had to pay in cash, since all the other hotels we stayed in we paid on the website or by card.||The place is beautiful (just for the tree with pink flowers and the blue windows), but the rest makes it difficult to want to return.||Guests in the next room smoked all the time, making our room smell.||It's very difficult to wash your hair or even take a shower properly since there's no way to attach the shower head, so you have to hold the shower head throughout the shower (??)|There is no shower curtain, so the entire bathroom gets wet when taking a shower.||Tap water tastes horrible when...

Hotel Nicolas||||Check in. Was pretty smooth considering we were in a tour group of around 50 people we were all in our rooms within 30 minutes.||||Room. The room was a bit small even for that area of Santorini but from the design of the hotel i could tell the rooms were probably of various sizes. It was a clean room and like most of the hotels on the island had a bit of its own little charm.||||Staff. We did not interact with the staff much so i have nothing to say good or bad. ||||Grounds.
