😊: We stayed five nights at Ostria Eressos and absolutely loved our experience here. The establishment is a family business and both the mother and her daughter were very kind and warm to us. On the other hand, they made sure to respect our privacy. They were living in the ground floor and 'invisible' at all times while it was very easy and quick to find them if we needed anything.
Our room was very spacious, with a double bed. The kitchen unit had everything we needed, including a filter coffee machine. We had a small but beautiful balcony, and sunlight entered the room from 3 directions!
The room was cleaned daily, and when I say clean, I mean REALLY CLEAN.
Even though there is a very famous open air cinema very close, we were never bothered with noise, the room was quiet and peaceful at all times. The open air cinema is free and a lovely experience.
The most important feature of Ostria is the location. It is literally a 2 minute walk from the beach and restaurants. It is so close that if you wanted to take a shower in your room every time you got out of the sea, you could do that without getting tired. The room is also very close to all amenities such as multiple markets, gift shops, a baker (beautiful croissants, breads, pies, sweets, make sure to go there before 09:00 am to find everything) and a greengrocer (Michael is such a nice guy and offers local fruits, olive oil, olives, etc).
I really cannot think of anything negative to mention, apart from the sometimes slow wifi, but considering the positives, that is easily negligible. I give Ostria 10/10, so if you find a free room here don't hesitate to book.. 😢: wifi can be improved but we could still work with our laptops easily. the mattress felt a bit slim but considering I am over 100 kg, that is partly...

On saturday night, I could hear people partying in the street until sunrise!
I got a sore back from the mattress, in the end I had to find another place to stay after only a few nights. I asked for a refund with...
Read moreI could not ask for more! EUR 40 per night got me an amazing, roomy bedroom with private balcony and bathroom; the proprietor family, though limited in English, was very kind and charming, and also very thorough in their room service daily. Additionally, the communal car park is right outside the hotel, and the beach is only a short walk away. In a cosy town like Skala Eresos, this was exactly the kind of...
