Sadly we had a bad experience at Parian Lithos and felt very let down by the service. Before I say why note on impartial view on the rooms -they are fine, nothing special, very basic- nice setting over looking the sea but it is also located on the main road into town. Breakfast really basic and you have to pay for coffees.
On arrival, the receptionist showed us to our room, she mentioned to put the key into the slot to turn the electricity on, which she showed us. Unfortunately, after she switched the lights back and forth, it didn't work, however she just said " enjoy you stay" they went away? We then had a shower and wanted to dry our hair but the electricity wasn't working ( which also meant aircon unit wasn't working), we went down to tell her then she tried to find a manager and she came back and said electrician was coming. Cut to 2 hours later, where we waited by the pool area ( which is nice and quiet but does overlook a road on one side) we came back to the room which they had just finished.
We understand these things happen but the thing that really annoyed us was not once did anyone say " we are sorry for the inconvenience" or offered us a free drink or anything to make up for the fact we couldn't use our room for 2 hours and had to wait by the pool. Why not offer us a coffee or glass of wine?!
Later that night, we got back and the zircon unit wasn't working, we sent an email and sent a video to the manager as the unit wouldn't even turn on. It came on randomly around 3am but we were extremely hot for the whole night.
The manager who wasn't there when we checked in did come and apologise the next day when we went for breakfast but almost made it out that it was our fault the aircon didn't work because the doors should have been closed. We understand how aircon works and we most definitely closed all the windows and doors fully. Also, we were never given a wifi code or anything upon checking in which they said they did, you didn't! Obviously we would have remember asking for a wifi code.
When we checked out, no apology again or anything off the total bill, when we mentioned how poor the service was she said " I would like to offer you a bottle of wine" too little too late, where was that offer the day before. I travel often and have never experience service like that.
Don't waste your time, stay somewhere...
Read moreOne of the best hotels we ended up staying at in Greece. The hotel is situated in the perfect spot, its close to the town and even has a little beach right in front. The view for the rooms were spectacular, especially for watching the sunset. The hotel went above and beyond in cleanliness and even mopped the rooms daily. The breakfast had something for everyone and was very delicious! Yet by far the best part of the hotel was its staff and owner. Upon arrival Katarina made us feel very welcome and she was a great help in directing us around the island, taking my grandfathers physical limitations into consideration. She was extremely accommodating for us even making sure he had a room where he could access without having to us stairs and offering the driver to assist us whenever a taxi wasn’t available. Which speaking of, the driver was an extremely sweet man who also took great care with my grandfather (who has come difficultly entering and exiting cars) and excelled at driving. It was very comforting to know that we would always have safe transportation back to the hotel if we could not find any. As someone who had never travelled internationally and while also being responsible for two elderly people I was quite nervous, but Katarina put all the worries to easy and made the trip extremely easy for me and I couldn't thank her enough. If you have the opportunity to stay here I would highly suggest you do cause I do not believe you would be able to get such high customer service anywhere else.
Also, the hotel cat, Lithos, was such a sweet lady and could always be seen at breakfast. She was very friendly (while still being respectful of everyone eating) and was a great addition...
Read moreNice Property on a quiet part of town. There was parking on the street for our rental car.||Nasia greeted us upon check-in. She was very sweet. Gave us some great information on where to eat and swim on the island. Piertzovani is the owner and she treated us very well. Thank you! ||Rates were very reasonable. Located near Naoussa, not really walking distance, it’s a bit of a hike, so we always took our car and found a spot there. Getting around the island with a rental car was very easy. Naousaa has great restaurants and there is a really nice supermarket nearby. ||There is a walkable beach, but it’s not as good as the multiple beaches we visited around the island. ||There was an amazing breakfast buffet everyday, with fried eggs and bacon, just the way I like it. Everything was super fresh. Only downside was that breakfast didn’t start until 8:30 a.m. and we are early risers. All good...it all worked out. It was so good!||Room was very comfy. Soaps and shampoos provided, as well as a safe, a refrigerator and a decent size closet. The room could have used a table/stand or two for our suitcases. Very limited channels on the TV. There was also a seating area on the deck out in front of our room with an overlooking view of the bay. ||The pool was really nice and refreshing. Blue lights at night. Swim till 9 pm. Towels for the pool and or the beach are available for the asking. ||Came here on a recommendation of a friend. We were not disappointed. We highly recommend this location for your stay on Paros. It made for a very memorable holiday here. Paros was beautiful! One of my Favorite Islands. Be sure to visit...
