Decided on this place for our evening meal. It has a nice open air balcony with views to the sea & was only a few minutes walk from Paliomylos Spa Hotel. We arrived about 7:30 pm & there were plenty of empty tables available. We were greeted with a smile & soon seated. Karina herself came over to let us know the specials for the day then left us to peruse the menu. We decided to share the saganaki cheese for starter & the moussaka for the main. Both meals arrived quickly & at the same time. The saganaki was a bit rubbery, perhaps because it wasn't quite hot enough for the cheese to change it's consistency. The moussaka was a good size portion, far more than enough for one person if we weren't sharing. It was cooked well & very tasty, although could have been just a bit hotter for my preference. The total meal price, including 1 Mythos beer, came to EUR 22.10. Overall, a very nice, relaxed atmosphere to enjoy an evening meal. Friendly owner & staff, quick service, tasty food, comfortable...
Read moreIf I walked into a restaurant and simply asked for a perfect Greek meal, this was exactly the food that I would hope for. We shared the dancing dips (baba ganoush, hummus, fava) and the octopus with tomato salad. Each of the dips was perfectly seasoned to highlight the best qualities of the ingredients, served with an abundance of the softest, freshly baked pita. The octopus was tender and complimented by the creaminess of to potato salad. We then shared an arugula salad with the freshest ingredients - high quality sun dried tomatoes, local cheese, and toasted sesame seeds and pine nuts that tasted like I was trying each for the first time. We finished our meal with a classic plate of chicken souvlaki and tzatziki, which was cooked to perfection and lightly seasoned with lemon, salt, and oregano. The best thing you can do for your vacation in Paros is to enjoy a wonderful meal with Karina (if you’re reading this you should consider voice acting...
Read moreWe found Karina Taverna walking back to our accommodation are checking out the marina touristy area of Naoussa. We are so glad we did that because along the way we found Karina Taverna. Karina , the owner, came to take our order and recommended an eggplant dish called Imam Bayildi. We included that in our order and decided to share the 3 dishes we ordered. Each one was a standout as was the service! Karina is a delight. Witty and funny she looked after us really well. The food and service were so good we went back the following night and dined there again. We were pleased to see that she had quite a crowd the next night and even though she was really busy she found some time to chat with us again.
I cannot recommend Karina Taverna more highly. To quote a famous Aussie “Do yourself a favor” and treat yourself to an experience at...
