Captain's House — Hotel in Patmos Municipality

A nice hotel overall. The woman running it is friendly, as is the cleaner, who deserves a special mention as well.

The room we were in (number 27) has a balcony with a perfect view of the main street and the sea, so that makes it ideal for some relaxing moments. A minor complaint would be regarding the toilet which could use A LITTLE more space, but unless you are an oversized person, you should be fine. It also has a hair dryer so don't bother bringing one yourself.The bed itself is comfortable enough and you have a desk, night tables, a wardrobe and AC, the usual staff.

They offer breakfast at 7€, which was fine for that price. You've got croissants, bread, fruits, spinach pies, cheese pies, milk, orange juice, coffee, salami and eggs. Overall I've seen more variety in other hotels, but for that price, I would say what this hotel offers for breakfast is sufficient. Plus you get to eat it in the porch with a nice view. No dinner is offered, but there are plenty of places around for that.

While the hotel itself has no parking, there's a public parking nearby.

Excellent family style hotel This is NOT a luxury hotel. This is a Greek hotel experience in a small family's type setting run by some of the friendliest people you will meet. Family is everywhere here at the CH. In the lobby, at the small swimming pool, in the breakfast area..... everywhere. There is also a very cute tiny diaper wearing dog, Mela , on site..very much part of the family The rooms are small but clean. Mini fridge , AC, and a tiny balcony. Staff keeps this hotel spotless. Breakfast is tasty, with great coffee but a somewhat limited selection. There are always Greek specialties served every day.. The patio view at breakfast is a definite photo op. The location couldn't be better!!!!!! 4 minutes to the main square in Skala. Shopping and Restaurants also very very close by to the CH. Cars available. Handicap CAUTION!!!!!!!!!!!!!!°°......THERE ARE STEEP STAIRS UP TO THE ROOMS. This is NOT ♿️ Handicap doable!!!! I would stay here again in a 💓 heartbeat. Recommended for a super friendly Greek...

We hebben met zijn tweetjes een week heerlijk genoten van deze locatie.||Patmos is een erg mooi eiland. Het is er wel duidelijk duurder ( winkeltjes) dan op de eilanden Kalymnos of Leros waar we ook een week zijn geweest. Dat komt waarschijnlijk door het aanmeren van cruiseschepen een enkele keer per week.||Wat het eten betreft is er in prijs-kwaliteit niet veel verschil.||Met een scooter kun je heel het eiland rond. Ook heel fijn om naar de verschillende strandjes te rijden.||Vergeet niet naar het klooster te gaan en de windmolens. Echt de moeite waard!||En als je dan toch naar dit eiland gaat en je wilt iets kleinschaligs op een gezellige plaats waar je de drukte op kunt zoeken als je wilt, kies dan voor Captain’s House Hotel. Restaurants, de supermarkt en een heerlijk bakkertje om een broodje mee te nemen naar het strand, zijn dicht bij. Je loopt zo het gezellige havenplaatsje in. Ook makkelijk als je weer net de biot weg gaat. Als je boot aan ziet komen, heb je genoeg tijd om er met je koffer naar toe te lopen.||De kamer is niet groot, maar schoon, met gratis airco en een kluisje. Wij hebben er prima geslapen. We hadden een kamer aan de voorkant met uitzicht op de haven. Gezellig!||Bij ‘thuiskomst’ namen we vaak nog even een plons in het zwembad. Het is niet groot, maar wel heerlijk toeven met ligbedjes. We hadden dit zwembad vaak voor ons alleen.||Het personeel ( de eigenaresse en hulp bij het ontbijt) is erg vriendelijk en behulpzaam. Ze willen er alles aan doen om te zorgen dat je het naar je zin hebt.||Het ontbijt is in een woord GEWELDIG! Heerlijke zoete en hartige lekkernijen door Cathy zelf klaar gemaakt, naast brood, fruit en beleg.||Je kunt op het balkon bij de eetruimte ontbijten,binnen, of aan het water. Alles mogelijk.||Een heel goede start van de dag!||Mochten we ooit op dit eiland terug komen, dan gaat onze voorkeur uit naar dit hotelletje ( terwijl er ook prachtige andere locaties zijn).
