Nama — Restaurant in Patmos Municipality

In a beautiful traditional house located on the water, with an impressive rock behind it crowned by a jewel of island architecture , the small church of Aghia Paraskevi, Nefeli and Stratis run the Nama restaurant. The environment is atmospheric,discrete and with supreme attention to the detail. Service is excellent and the food leaves nothing to be desired. My wife had lamb chops which were excellent and I tasted a superb dish of mushrooms,cheese and hazelnuts followed by a succulent dish called trahanas on the basis of semoule,cheese, tomatoes,herbs and shrimp. Got FOOD POISONING We ordered chicken, steaks and greek salad, all of which were below average. The price does not match quality. However, the real problem is that 3/4 people ended up in the emergency room due to FOOD POISONING. The person that did not get food poisoning was the only one that didnt eat, because the meat he has ordered was undercooked.

You need to improve your health and safety in the kitchen SOS!

The only positive aspect were the waitor/waitresses, that had a positive attitude and were really welcoming.

Although hospitality and atmosphere were quite good at this spot, I think the quality of the food should live up to expectations, especially given the prices. The sushi here is of much lower quality than I had anticipated, in spite of the fancy plates and excessive amount of caviar on top of the pieces of sushi. Overall, the place is very pleasing aesthetically and does appear to be of higher standards than other places on the island. But fanciness and high prices should be complimented with a good meal.
