Κοκαλένια Rooms — Hotel in Skyros Municipality

The nicest, kindest, very helpful and the friendliest of families run Kokalenia. Odysseas is in charge, with his Mum Ameleea, Grannie Leah and girlfriend Poppy all helping and involved. They all really made my stay such a pleasure. Easy to get from the airport as bus stop 5 mins walk away. I had 2 stays here (end of July and mid Aug) 2 weeks apart in different rooms. Each room was on the ground floor, has air con, is individually decorated in a simple but very charming and Greek style. 30 seconds and you are on the beach, FANTASTIC LOCATION. Easy to watch the sunrise in the morning. Bathrooms small but functional. To get your room cleaned you just hang a notice outside your door. Kokalenia is sandwiched between 2 very nice beach bars but the music did not disturb you during the night. Some seating outside each room plus tables and chairs on the patio over looking the beach. Seemed popular for families with children middle of the season. Definitely plan to stay there again!||||These are observations: if anyone is child phobic you may not choose to stay here mid season! Kokalenia, the hidden gem of Skyros, stunning location straight in front of the beach (Aegean) with supermarkets, bars & top Restaurants so close-by.||Run by a loving traditional Greek family Odysseus (son) Amelia (mother) & Lia (grandmother) nothing was too much trouble.||Simple traditional rooms, with the sound of the ocean which oozes charm, simplicity and a sense of reconnection to the earth.||Coupled with all this, it’s not expensive and is real value for money for the experience.||I would highly recommend for families, couples (romantic getaway) & singles wanting a fun & relaxing environment, a perfect place to re-charge and be happy and rediscover...

Είναι τόσα πολλά αυτά που θέλω να παραθέσω για το συγκεκριμένο κατάλυμα που δεν ξέρω από πού να ξεκινήσω και που να τελειώσω. Αρχικά κατά την άφιξη μας στο νησί και κατ' επεκταση στο κατάλυμα, διαπιστώθηκε προς έκπληξη μας πως η κράτηση που είχαμε κάνει τελικά δεν είχε γίνει από τον υπεύθυνο και το διαμέρισμα που προοριζόταν για εμάς είχε πλέον δοθεί σε άλλους. Ευτυχώς το ζήτημα επιλύθηκε έγκαιρα και τελικά μείναμε στο διαμέρισμα που είχαμε κλείσει εξαρχής. Αλλά μόνο και μόνο για την ταλαιπωρία που υφισταμεθα και για την αντιεπαγγελματικοτητα που τους διέπει παίρνουν ένα ,αν είχε μηδέν θα το έβαζα. Εν συνεχεία στα αρνητικα επακολούθησαν η ατημέλητη και παραμελημένη εικόνα του διαμερίσματος. Πιο συγκεκριμένα το παράθυρο το ένα δεν έκλεινε, το ψυγείο δεν λειτουργούσε σωστά , ζεστό νερό δεν υπήρχε. Προσπάθησα να τους εφιστησω την προσοχή παρουσιάζοντας τους τα ελλείμματα που είχαμε συναντήσει ,αλλά δεν είδα να ευαισθητοποιουνται ιδιαίτερα, ακόμη και η συγγνώμη άγνωστη λέξη γιαυτους. Απορώ λοιπόν τι κάνει αυτό το κατάλυμα τόσο ξεχωριστό και ιδιαίτερο, ενώ δεν πληρούνται οι βασικές προϋποθέσεις και δεν παρέχονται πολυσημαντες παροχές. Οι υπεύθυνοι έχουν εφησυχάστει επειδή το κατάλυμα βρίσκεται σε εξαιρετική τοποθεσία και αρκούνται σε αυτό μην κάνοντας τα βασικά για να παρουσιάσουν στον πελάτη μια ευπρεπή εικόνα καταλύματος, ετσι όπως θα έπρεπε να είναι . Λυπήθηκα τα χρήματα που έδωσα, μακράν η χειρότερη εμπειρία σε διαμονή...
