Stayed here for 2 weeks in August 22, 2 adults and a child. Room is adequate with a kingsize bed and single. Maid service is not daily so make sure you remove your rubbish. This wasn't a problem as there is a bin located to the front of the property. To be honest though it could've done with at least a sweep out, if there had have been a brush handy I would've done this myself as coming in from the beach each day brought sand in the room and balcony. The bedding was changed twice in the 2 weeks we stayed and again I think that it could've done with another set of bedding during our visit. The towels were changed more frequently. There is no sink in the kitchen or hob but a kettle is provided. We adpated by washing up in the bathroom sink, again, not a big deal just need to adapt. We bought a set of sharp knives and left them in our apartment for other visitors as we couldn't cut melon or anything with the cutlery we had. The owner Maria met us on arrival and helped with our luggage to the studio and explained the charges for the safe and air con. We took the air con which is 7 euro per day. We also needed some help when we had no hot water for 2 days but this was sorted after a message to the hotel. The location is great, just opposite a fabulous bakery and the sea front 100 metres away. We had a comfortable stay and enjoyed oursleves. I know the area as have been visiting for 30 years and lucky enough to have lived there. Great resort, nice comfortable accommodation...
Read moreFirst time in Thassos booked this at last minute was pleasantly surprised, room was modern and clean. Please be aware Villa Giannis doesn't have a pool which I didn't realise but you have the use of the pool at the Sunray hotel and all the facilities sun beds on the beach for free. The hotel is just 5 minutes walk and a tip how to get there, as you come out the villas go right and turn right down the first road with shop on the corner and follow straight down till you get to the end continue and you will come to Sunray hotel which is a safer way then walking on the main road. The Sunray was lovely and food and drinks really good and reasonably priced. The staff at the hotel work really hard and always have a smile on their faces and made you feel welcome we went everyday either to the pool or beach. It's family run hotel so that special touch. The area has plenty of places to shop and eat on the front and the harbour is not far away for a nice walk in an evening. I would definitely recommend. We tend not to go to the same place twice but will definitely go back in the future. I'd recommend for couples and people with young families not sure if their is anything for teenagers but...
Read moreWe have just returned from a week at this accommodation, it myself and my 2 teenage children. I panic booked with First Choice and didn’t realise that the hotel did not have its own pool, you use the facilities of the sister property Sun Ray Hotel. This was not an issue at all, Sun Ray is an easy 5 minute walk away with stunning pool and beach area, I have reviewed this separately.|This accommodation is basic but has everything you need, the air con is extra, as standard but works well. Our room description did say large balcony, but this wasn’t the case which was a shame as we would have liked to sit out on the balcony in the evening. The location could not be better a 1 minute walk to the beach and the start of the tavernas. Limenera really is beautiful, must of the restaurant line the sea front, food is really good and I felt so safe being in my own with my children. I hired a car from Portos car hire in the main road and went to exploring the island, Limenera was definitely my favourite place and so glad this is where I booked! Would...
