The place is decent, but can be improved. We stayed in the main building in a double room with a tiny kitchen, one closet, 2 joined beds, 1 bedside table and a small chair as the second one and a small make-up table and chair.
The beds were reasonably comfortable, the sheets were clean, but the pillows were synthetic which I absolutely hate as they give that rubbery feel.
The kitchen was just the basic: one small sink, one electric kettle, an electric stovetop and a small fridge. However, the utensils were rather basic: one medium and a small pot which could be used for frying if you really wanted, 2 glasses, 2 coffee cups, 2 small and medium plates, cutlery for 2 people and a plastic tray. There was no cutting board and people before us resorted to using the tray as one which should have been a sign for the owners to actually buy a cutting board. Also to bowls or deeper plates for cereals or soups. No trash can either which is really weird for a room with kitchen. We also had to buy dishwasher sponge and soap as there wasn't any provided. Ah and no spices either, not even salt or pepper.
But the worst part was the bathroom. Very small (could barely sit on the loo), the shower curtains were too short so each shower meant water all over the place. Very poor ventilation in the bathroom. Meant it would take a few days for all the steam and smell to be evacuated. So don't leave your towels inside as they will be damp and smelly.
We did ger clean towels which were changed every 3 days together with the towels and a floor mopping. The room also had AC but no remote control and a safe without a key. I assume they were extra amenities available only on request, but we were not informed in any way.
Overall it was an ok place to stay, rather affordable also, but definitely not as advertised. At least it was very close to the beach and a small walk away from the supermarket. Rather close to town also, never had to take the bus. We might not return here unless they renovate the...
Read moreThe hotel resides next to the island's maim road, only about 100m from the nearest beach. The surroundings are pretty and peaceful. The road is not overly busy during nights so the noises didn't prevent sleeping. On the other side of the hotel there is a high forest hill. On the sides there is nothing. ||||Service was good, we had some small wishes and questions and the owner fulfilled everything. The owners don't live in the hotel area so you need to catch them when they visit the hotel. There is no staff around basically except the cleaning lady, who did a very good job, by the way.||||Other good things:||- no pool, but the beach is close||- the nearby small free beach has a shower!||- the other beaches are offering sunbeds only for the price of two drinks, i.e some 6 Eur cost.||- close to the hotel is Costis pottery. A nice guy and good place to do some unique souvenir shopping.||- free A/C which worked really well!||- free safe in the room||- free Wi-Fi in the rooms and in the yard. First week the connection was sometimes broken for hours, until a router reset, I think. On second week the Wi-Fi got upgraded and then it worked flawlessly and quickly! Best hotel Wi-Fi in Greece so far!||- no bugs in the room!||||Things that could be better:||- shower curtain was too short, water everywhere after a shower! This might be unique problem only in our room (204).||Nothing push the water towards the sewer hole except your own foot.||- noise isolation is quite poor, as usual in Greece. You can often hear when someone uses the water tap, showers or flushes the toilet. Luckily one can put on the air condition for the night to give a nice constant background hum. But we were lucky to have peaceful neighbors who didn't party all night long :)||- Nearest shop is some 400 meters away (smaller Smile super market). Plan your shopping unless you like a small hike every now and then in 30+ celcius!||||All in all, considering the class and price, this is a good hotel!...
Read moreLandlords miss warmth and hospitality, what you expect for the beginning of vacation. Garden is nice, better than on pictures, but that's about all that I can say nice. Rooms are too small, completely inadequately equipped for staying. Not enough plates, spoons, glasses, etc. Hand towels and sheets are too stiff and crumpled. Generally hygiene is on a very low level. Room was cleaned once, on a fifth day. If you get a room without a twin bed, and you have too children, sorry bad luck! - you'll be asked to put a child in bed with you. And etc... That's why my grade is so low and I really can't recommend the...
