Mouses — Restaurant in Thassos Municipality

Mouses has the biggest and most varied menu from what I've seen during my 7-day stay in Thassos Town. They have everything from salads, pasta, seafood, meat and bbq. The appetizers are really interesting, there are some turkish and balkan courses too.

The menu is also the only one I've seen in 4 languages: Greek, English, Romanian and Turkish. The prices are pretty much the same as everywhere else, but I noticed maybe 10% cheaper and 20% larger portions. We had a bbq platter for 1 person as a couple and we barely finishes it.

The serving is top notch, waiters can speak almost any language and they move super fast and without mistakes. Some would say they are robotic, but it just shows that they are here to serve you and they do it very well.

One thing worth mentioning is that upon arrival, they will bring one big pita bread and a bottle of still water to all tables. We refused the water as we ordered beer, but the bread was on the check, of course, in the form of a generic fee of 0.5 euro per person. So if you come with a large group, don't be surprised so see something additional on your check. Other restaurants do this also and the fee varies, but it's never more than what a normal tip would be.

Anyway, we had an amazing dinner as a couple and so far this is our favourite spot...

We came here for the 7th time 2 days ago during our holiday, where we came from Turkey for years.Unfortunately we decided to completely end our relationship with mouses because it has completely lost its soul that we are used. They are completely focused on making more money and lost respect to the customers. I say this with all my sincerity because, while we were barely getting used to charging for bread, they charged 1 euro for the olive oil we wanted for the salad which upset and offended us. In addition, the portions have been absolutely reduced this year and the after-dinner treats have been removed. The lack of service quality, which has started since they started setting up tables on the sidewalk has reached its peak this year. We even waited 20 minutes to pay the bill. We are sad to leave this place, where we have recommended to many people for years. It is difficult to be popular and reach a certain customer potential, but if you start stooping to small amounts of money, it means that you forgot already your customers who made you who you are actual. Do not ignore one point that It will be just as easy to pull you down for your conscious...

Terrible service and food quality. Spend 40 euro for a greek salad that was made hours hours ago. Tomatoes, cucumbers, onions and peper were chopped and seasoned hours ago . It was obvious because they were not fresh. Mussels with rice-very oily. Grilled octopus was served with roasted potatoes and some kind of vinger sauce-very bad taste. We asked for a napkins because we did not have on the table and they did not bring any. Waited about 30 min to bring us a bottle of water. We were 2 people and next to us were another couple. They were waiting about an hour for someone to take their order. Waiters were coming and going and telling them ok just a 5 min I will ask my colleague to take your order. Really very bad experience. If you want to eat really good sea food in Thassos your place is Simi. And if you want to eat meat or traditional Greek grill portions(like kokoreci) better go in the small restaurants that are on the center street.
