The evening started well. Happy to get a table as we hadn't booked. Been in the night before and enjoyed the food so came back. What a contrast. Less busy numbers wise tonight, but the service was slower. 40 mins after ordering i asked how long our food would be. The response was, you wanted it all together!. I did, but there's only the 2 of us and we ordered a main each with a side order of oven baked potatoes. They proceded to bring the potatoes. As we were bloody starving at this point we started to eat them. Not wanting to fill up on pots and leave the more expensive food we stopped eating the pots and again enquired where our food was. 2 mins I was told. In response I stated if we do not get our food within 10 minutes we would pay for our drinks and the potatoes and leave. The food arrived in 8 mins. An expensive fish and a pork dish. I ate a couple of pieces of the pork but it didn't feel right. On cutting a few pieces open, I found it to be almost raw. I pionted this out to a staff member. She spoke to the guy we had complaintd to. Who said, well you wanted it now. I did, but I wanted it cooked, it was bloody pink for god sake. I could not believe the response. We paid for what we had and left. I would have been OK had I been told the wait time for food. I could have decide to stay or go. No one stated a long wait time. I am so disappointed. Tell customers if there is a wait time. DO NOT serve potentially poisonous food because the enquired about the wait time. The check girl was brilliant. Senior staff unbelievable. Go or don't. This was...
Read moreLet's start with the most important part: the food is absolutely delicious. Every dish we tried was fresh, flavorful, and cooked to perfection. It’s clear they use quality ingredients and have a talented kitchen. However, be prepared for the "Karas Portion." The servings are not just generous; they are monumentally huge! It became a running joke among the diners—we heard every table around us "complaining" in the best way possible, with exclamations of "Look at the size of this!" and "How are we ever going to finish this?!" It's not a real problem, just a very genuine surprise. Consider sharing a few dishes between two people, or go with a hearty appetite!
The other standout feature was the amazing staff. They were so friendly, welcoming, and attentive. They made us feel like honored guests from the moment we walked in, happily explaining dishes and ensuring we had everything we needed.
Verdict: Karas offers incredible, delicious Greek food in portions so large they’ve become legendary. Go for the fantastic cuisine and the wonderful service, but maybe skip...
Read moreWe ordered Zucchini, Greek salad, Tzatziki, Moussaka, Lamb chops and pita bread.
I mentioned that Zucchini, Tzatziki and salad are starters.
They're bringing Tzatziki and greek salad, then at the same time after almost half an hour, the rest of the dinner.
You have to decide what to eat because something will be cold of course, or Zucchini or main meal, if you're restaurant with 4,7 stars on Google as you said, you have to know what to bring when..
If you're calling that "thing" lamb chops then you don't know the difference between lamb and sheep.
Your butcher cutted that meat like he took knife first time in his life...
The reason why we chose this restaurant was Google 4,7 stars but seems to look like it will go down soon if you continue to do like this.
If you're thinking that this is fake review, just remember that middle-age couple sitting 2 tables from us that returned shrimps because of bad smell. They also eat lobster and drink white...
