Luminous Luxury Apartments — Hotel in Thassos Municipality

We recently spent several truly memorable days at Luminous Luxury Apartments in Limenas, and our experience was beyond what we imagined. Right from our arrival, we were greeted with warmth and genuine hospitality. The hosts were exceptionally welcoming, always ready to assist and ensure our stay was flawless.

The apartment was immaculately clean. What stood out to us was the daily cleaning service – each day, they refreshed the towels, tidied up, and maintained the apartment in perfect condition. This level of care is rare, especially in smaller Greek accommodations, and it made us feel very comfortable.

Inside, everything is modern and tastefully decorated, creating a cosy and inviting atmosphere. The beds were incredibly comfortable; we slept deeply every night and woke up feeling refreshed and ready to discover more of Thassos. The kitchen was fully equipped with everything needed to prepare breakfast or light meals if you prefer to dine in.

One of the highlights for us was the spacious balcony overlooking the peaceful olive groves. In the evenings, we would unwind there with a glass of local wine, listening to the cicadas under the warm night sky. Mornings were just as magical, sipping coffee while watching the sun rise above the endless olive trees.

The area itself is tranquil and away from the busy tourist areas, yet it’s conveniently located about a 10-15 minute walk (approximately 1200 metres) to the centre of Limenas and its restaurants. After enjoying delicious Greek dinners in town, we loved the leisurely walk back to the apartment, especially when the air cooled down in the evenings – a perfect way to end each day.

Another wonderful aspect was the beautiful natural surroundings. Being nestled within olive gardens creates a serene, almost meditative atmosphere, offering a true escape from daily stress. Parking was hassle-free, right by the property – a great plus if you’re travelling by car.

Overall, we couldn’t have been happier with our choice. Luminous Luxury Apartments is ideal for couples, families, or anyone seeking peace, cleanliness, and comfort after a day spent exploring Thassos.

The hotel is new and in a convenient location. However, even though we've made the reservation for 7 guests quite early per email, where I have written down in detail the exact dates of check-in, check-out, extra requests etc., I have paid 50% of the total price as requested by the hotel and our booking was confirmed, I received a call the night before our planned arrival to inform me that there has been a mistake and they could host us only for one night instead of two. As a result we were really stressed and upset, because we wanted to surprise our best friend for her bachelorette party and we were practically unable to do anything in such a short notice. They informed us that they could only find one hotel available nearby that could host us only for the second night and we agreed because it was a very hectic weekend of August with not much of a choice. Needless to say that the second hotel provided one room on the ground floor and one on the 1st floor, far away from other and we paid the same price although breakfast was not included as we have agreed in the first place with Luminous Luxury Apartments. Last but not least the owners never apologized in person for ruining our weekend and did not show empathy at all. We spent 8 night (16-23.07.2024) at Luminous and we had a great time. We highly recommend it for anyone visiting Thassos. The Tarsanas beach is 8 walking minutes away. The restaurants are is 10 waking minutes away. The rooms where daily cleaned. We got daily pods of Nespresso. There are plenty of parking spaces in from of the Apartments. Even if our room was the closest one to the pool it was very quite. By the way the pool is a great addition for that days when you want to lay low.
